I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and watched Creature Features, Charlie & Humphrey, Romper Room, Dialing For Dollars, Tuck, Fortner Report which was their version of Huntley & Brinkley, The 10 O'clock news. The off network/syndicated reruns of such TV shows MISSION: Impossible, The FBI, I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show, The Odd Couple, Star Trek, The Fugitive, Dragnet, Gilligan's Island, Ponderosa aka Bonanza, The Streets of San Francisco, The Joe Pyne Show, M.A.S.H., Wednesday Night Special, The Big Valley, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, The Avengers, Benny Hill, Morcombe & Wise etc. All those classic movies with Cagney Bogart, Robinson, Bette Davis, etc. 8 O'Clock Movie, Saturday & Sunday Super Cinema, KTVU Presents, Premiere Movie, Chiller, Diller Matinee. San Francisco Giants baseball, Golden State Warriors basketball, pre season Oakland Raiders games. I remember a song called "Move Closer To Your World" which was used on The 10 O'Clock News from 1971-1974.

It would be great if KTVU could release the entire 1975 interview with Charles Manson that reporter Stan Atkinson did.

Used to be a great station, couldn't believe it when they became a Fox affiliate.

And what's the matter with that? Fox was the new network on the block you know!

@@VBaskin2010 And look at it now- same old crap as every other network, taking away the originality stations like this used to have, and was also the first US network to ruin the picture with constant logos on the screen.

At the early intro part, after "It's a bird, it's a plane," what happened to "Hormones, etc."?

I missed the early days of this station. For me, I didn’t watch the station until around 1982. I really didn’t like the idea that they went from Independent to an affiliate to Fox. Well, 87 through the 90s was cool. But today it sucks.
