all around Oakland they have "shot spotters" ..some sort of device that notifies police when and where shots are fired. 98% of the shot spotter notifications are not called in by people in the neighborhood. what a sad place to live. I was born there, but we moved away soon after.

This is truly a sad story. This should be a happy day for the graduates. In the past it has been drinking and drug abuse in celebration that has been the problem. I was back on 395 at graduation one year. Parents were dreading that their kids would not make it past the graduation celebrations. To now see people killing graduates is beyond terrible.

A shooting in Oakland- shocking….Theres a problem with this community and the root cause is people are doing a lousy job of raising their kids. Kids who end up carrying guns or grow up to be criminals with guns. Regardless, there are people who commit crime that are still good people, meaning they are not going to just pull out a gun and then end someone’s life over an argument.
