Fun fact: No one knew about this performance. No one knew that 2ne1's gonna perform on MAMA 2015 because of Bom's scandal. The only people who knew was CL and a few dancer. Not even the artist and YG himself knew and even the MAMA crew didn't know. Onky CL rehearsed for her perf but the rest didn't. That was somewhat an impromptu performance, and another fun fact is that all of them just got back in korea from the places they went the night before this performance so basically they still have jetlags. This was the most legendary performance in the history of MAMA. And what's more amazing is that CL is doing her job as the leader. She knew how her members wanted to perform on stage, how they enjoy the stage. That's why she fearlessly brought 2ne1 on MAMA stage without even the permission of the MAMA crew. And that's what makes this stage legendary

I was lucky enough to attend one of their concerts (their last in the PH) and mind you, I want home without a voice. My friends went home voiceless as well. Nobody just sat in their seats because everybody was that pumped. We laughed when we needed to, thanks to dara’s skits and adlibs in tagalog (because she lived in the PH for quite some time), we cried when we needed to on their ballads, and we were so lucky to celebrate their 5th anniversary. This is the comparison. MV - 100% lit Live Performance - 200% lit Concert performance seen on youtube - 300% ecstatic! Concert performance seen live - life threatening. If you don’t hold on to dear life, you’d never make it out alive. But luckily, we were all ressurected before the show ends. 😂😂😂 Now I just wish YG did not demolish their fame. They would have still be the brightest. Because their fame, even up to now is up there.

after a 1-year break in their careers, they secretly came to hongkong separately and went on stage without rehearsing. they are amazing even if they are unprepared. and the leader of 2NE1, CL is happy to be back on stage with them. Look at her smile and trust while looking at the members. The smile when you say MINZY ahh. 2NE1 is the best

It was really an unexpected moment but depsite gaining too much attention they were still disbanded. 2NE1 was one of YG's major money makers. 2NE1 and BIGBANG literally built the YG empire but still disbanded them. YG really did them dirty. I'm convinced that the disbandment was personal. YG did not even bother to notify them about the disbandment. They only heard on the news.

Gosh I remember watching CLs performance and nearly having a heart attack when Dara suddenly popped up. Best surprise ever! Anything from 2ne1s concerts are worth watching but ‘Crush live at AON’ is amazing!

They were on hiatus on 2015 and CL is the only one in the lineup who are supposed to perform that night. No one knew 2NE1 was there. Not even a single airport photo was taken. The camera people, and management team are the only people who knew. They did not even practiced much as you can see in the video. The dancers of CL was not in sync with 2NE1.

2015 MAMA was a legendary year for YGent and also the last time they allow there artist on the MAMA stage. --During that time iKON was a 3 month. old rookie group and already performed for 12 min. The guys you thought that was BTS is actually iKON. -- Bigbang's (KINGs of KPOP) live performance (you also need to react to them) --2NE1 performance, it shook everybody since the only one that was announced to perform was CL. This is also there comeback stage after all the controversies happened with Bom. This is also there last performance as a group.

YG artists still attend some year end award shows but not MAMA and they don’t appear at mcountdown anymore again cuz of mnet! Interesting fact GD performed in MAMA 2014 and performed a direct diss to the award show and how they hand out awards ! And he still got invited to show the next year because its GD and Bigbang! CL was the first person to where something controversial in kpop especially for female live. It started of with the swim suit. (Not the kind of too revealing type) She wore something on top of it. Knetz (korea citizen)when ballistic over it. She was on a interview for sport Seoul and was also asked about the swimsuit that she wore. Her reply was “I'm not really pressured about revealing clothing. I just wear anything as long as it looks cool or it looks pretty."😂 😭A Queen paving the way. I totally respect and appreciate other groups too coz in reality they're all talented artists. Its just a matter of preferences and choices of whom I want to support and watch. Im only watching 2ne1, Bigbang, EPIK HIGH, Winner and AKMU as i totally enjoyed their crafts. I cannot help myself to compare them too but i dont hate them and i dont brag how better performers my fave artists to other reactors instead i dont watch others and i just enjoy the artists that i like. In my heart, im waiting for another group to exist like 2nd gen coz i want that kind of norms to be continued in KPOP industry. I want people to know that in KPOP, badasses, full of swag and stage presence exists who can rock and be loved in the whole world. So i try to watch other hyped groups to see, if i dont feel then i will wait again while listening to my fave artists.. #respect

This performance was only supposed to be CL's only... Even other YG artists weren't aware that 2ne1 was gonna appear that night especially after a long hiatus and Bom's controversy. This was freaking iconic and it showed just how much the girls really love the stage! 💕 Btw, the boy group that was shown was iKON- they're another group from YG. They were only 3 months old during that time but they won a ton of awards and became known as monster rookies. I highly recommend you guys to check them out, especially their MAMA 2015 performance- they also have a great stage presence like their seniors, BIGBANG and 2ne1😁💕

This was their last live performance before announcing their disbandment. The fact that a lot Fans expected for a comeback it was such a heartbreak. For a huge fan of them I literally cried while watching this on live stream Cause they had a long hiatus back then and also that huge scandal that they went through. watching them perform live again was a blessing. My only regret in life was not to see them perform live. 😭😭 No one can compare to 2ne1. They're legend. P.S. in every award show it would be boring if there's no YG artist to perform. 😏

I see they like Mamamoo and (G) i-dle. Hwasa and Wheein have been fans of 2NE1 from girls to the point of crying when they see them. (G) i-dle gave a presentation of Fire, it was difficult for them because playing a 2NE1 song is suicide, but their performance was very good. For blackjacks, this video is painful and beautiful ... thanks for reacting to that. 2NE1 is a group that never disappoints ..... it is a phenomenon that will never happen again, it would be great if they kept reacting to 2NE1

Yes that performance is really controversial.. They were trending in different countries.. People were ahock to see them.. Untill now thats the highest views for gg in Mama as well as bigbang for BG. 2NE1 was criticized from debut about their looks, concepts etc so at this point Korea knew 2NE1 was 2NE1 and also korea was so shookttt that they performed as a whole including Park Bom that the wardrobe was nothing XD also 2NE1 performances used to get the most viewer ratings most of the time even topping the boy groups which is rare so lets say many viewers were already waiting to be surprised by 2NE1 live stage. It was already a waited thing for awards, end of the year shows etc.

Before 2NE1, the talent didnt really matter so much for gg or maybe it was more like the fans had a different perspective of talent, looks and sex appeal were the most important talent or more like the only talent needed. Even if the girl groups had some good singers(usually 2 or 3 could sing the rest were more like models ) they didnt really needed to sing live. Even the concerts were lip sync and fans were ok, didnt even mind. So music companies could recruit models just for their looks. Then 2NE1 happened and people started to appreciate a good live stage from a gg but they had to endure lots of bad comments before many started to appreciate their talents. Didnt took too long for many of us who were tired of the same damn cute concept tho. BTW not just koreans used to care only about beauty in girl groups, international fans were the same. All they wanted was cute or sexy concepts.

CL was supposed to be the only one performing that night because 2NE1 had still been officially on Hiatius that time. The fact that the other Members showed up was a complete surprise for everyone. They traveled to Hong Kong seperatly and CL did stage rehearsal alone so there was really only the most nessecairy staff that knew about it. Also i don't really think there was backlash for CL for this performance because all the Headlines was about the surprise of 2NE1 performing as a whole again. However there have been a number of times Netizens were bitching about CL's performances. One i remember is when she has her Solo debut with "The Baddest Female" where she performed in a white Bodysuit. The things is tho, she was wearing a coat on top so it really wasn't even that revealing but yeah...

Yes, I enjoyed seeing the dancers contrast with the the Korean thin fetish. Note: CL is such a powerful personality that the other members of 2NE1 also had to have strong personalities and talent to balance her. 2NE1 is an example of the whole being greater than its parts.

2NE1 is always controversial. They had SK shaking. Wheein and Hwasa were huge fans, and I always say that even though Hwasa always mentioned Beyonce and Rihanna, I think she was also inspired a lot by CL. I really want Mamamoo and 2ne1 to be close. They would be so good, and chaotic together.

Welcome to the advance level! :) There is no one like 2ne1 in kpop, absolutely no one. Imagine CL with this monster charisma and Bob, Dara and Minzy standing their ground, wrecking your bias. Or if you are a Dara fan and you have Minzy snapping and Bom just being Bom. If you put all the kpop girlbands in one stage (and it has happened a lot in the past), you would only see 2ne1. That's how monstrous these girls are onstage. They are IT!

CL is the Queen of stage present in korea no one have it like her girls. She’s my ultimate bias and and forever will be. But sadly YG did her and the group so dirty and I hate that company to the death !!! As you said hwasa is amazing but for me no one can top CL of that. Both of them are my bias. This was supposed to be CLs performance only. No one knew that 2NE1 is about to make a surprise appearance after being in hiatus due to Bom's scandal (where it was dismissed because Bom wasnt guilty). Unfortunately this was their last performance together before disbanding in 2016. 😭 CLs back up dancers were also BIGBANGs front act dancers in Bang Bang Bang performance in the same awards show. 😊

That stage was dope as hell but some koreans were hating on the dancers. Especially on parris goebel since her body type was not the kind these east asians would prefer to see performing onstage. Only those who knew that the dancers were Royal Family had mad respect for their performance with 2NE1 and BIGBANG. Royal Family also did a short dance number on BIGBANG's stage that same night. This stage was even more meaningful to 2NE1 and BLACKJACKS as it was the first performance after Bom's controversial hiatus and sadly the last stage they had as a group. No one had foreseen that this was the last stage. It is still an iconic stage and a very meaningful one to us all...

Sad that she's even out of the country when that happened. I also heard Minzy left YG first because YG cannot give them projects anymore. And she waited for few years and didnt happen, probably they're too busy for BP debut already😔.

2ne1 Crush + fire live performances is even better than this. (For me, it's the best live performances of 2ne1) Regarding CL solo stage, I don't know hear controversy about that, but, with Hwasa the main reason is her sexy dressess, (haters tying to pull her down) not her performances. 2ne1 had a great stage presence (and not Blackpink) and the reason for that is their loosely arranged choreography. Today's 4th generation groups concentrate too much on choreography and they miss out on their engagement with the audiences which I think is a bad move. And maybe that's why we miss 2ne1 badly now. Mamamoo focus on vocals and stage presence too (less strict choreography like 2ne1 and Big bang) and they are the group which comes closes to 2ne1 in terms of performances. People come to a concert to witness a full all round live performances and not just a group executing their tight dance routine and poor little vocals.
