She is also popular in philippines cause she joined a show there before and filipino fans really love her Minzy can speak korean,english,japanese and chinese. Minzy joined YG when she was in 6th grade and she is a granddaughter of famous traditional dancer Gong OK-jin CL can speak english,korean,japanese and french. After years in YG's dungeon CL's contract expired in Nov '19, she almost immediately put out a mini-album of material she had stored up ; 2 videos that I know of & they're both really cool. Bom released a 3-song mini-album in '19 also. Title track 'Spring', song & M/V featuring Dara. I think it would be cool if you reacted to it!! 👍😁

Dara is still an icon here in the Philippines. Every where she goes people always recognized her. Before 2NE1 she was part of this reality show called "Star Circle Quest", she won 2nd place. She stayed I think a year or 2 before she went back to Korea and part of YG. Dara has 2 Battle Trips and featured Philippines. They were called The Ugly Group bec their appearances are not the typical kpop idol. But that did not prevent them from being popular and successful and that's bec of their talent and charisma (not bec of YG bec YG is not that rich at that time). Try to Listen to their song UGLY and read the lyrics translations coz it really hit the guts. Thanks for being interested to 2NE1. It seems like 2nd gen has a lot of interesting groups so u should also check them out. I chose my words carefully bec i am not really a kpop listener. I just have 2ne1 songs and 2 Big Bang songs in my playlist, so. . . Tnx again, looking forward to more 2ne1 rxn.

So they know how people view them but i've only seen them perform with confidence. They are mentally tough. And yeah, it's BOM, not BOOM. Bom means SPRING in Korean. Actually all of them can speak English (CL international school, Bom grew up in the USA (since 6th grade) and went to Berklee College of Music in Boston, Dara grew up in the Philippines and can speak English because of that and Minzy learned when she was in 2ne1). I would say Cl is the best English speaker but Bom sounds more native/natural. Dara once said that she and Bom were terrible at Korean lol Bom often use English words somewhere when she speaks so yeah I guess it did help them to get a bigger international audience but it wasn't on purpose lol

Misinformation though, they are not the 1st girl group in YG. There's Swi.T and Big Mama from 1st generation. 2ne1 is from 2nd generation while Blackpink is from 3rd generation. 🙂

CL is born in Seoul South Korea but she spent much of her early life in Japan and France. Since her parents move around a lot due to her dad job I think. So she speak 2-3 language but not fluently. Her father is a professor in physics in Sogang Uni. A private research university in Seoul The oldest Catholic and Jesuit institution of higher education in South Korea. So yea CL family is rich😂😌

To clarify, G-Dragon (GD) is the leader of Big Bang and they're still popular. 4 of the members had to do military service so they've been dormant for a while. Big Bang are the kings of k-pop, and idols like a few BTS members started doing music because of them. Most of k-pop works the way it does today due to Big Bang and 2ne1: mini-albums, light sticks, world tours for kpop acts, insanely budgeted mvs, 2 rap verses in songs, using videos to showcase fashion designers, introducing more western choreo, dropping back to back music videos/having more than 1 title track in a promotion cycle (2ne1 was first kpop act to do this), the concept of the girl crush in k-pop (that BP and many female idols like Hwasa do), and much more. I've been in the kpop game for over 13 years now so I can answer almost any question you can have in case you have any.

I really loved you're reaction . 2NE1 was one of my favorites group from 2nd generation but for me Girls's Generation also rocked the 2nd Generation . I don't know if you know SNSD ( Girls' Generation ) but their are the Queens . Please react to them and their are still a group . They debuted in 2007 under SM Entertainment their are the big sisters of Red Velvet . And for me personally I've never seen such a funny group I know there are a lot of funny groups but nobody is like SNSD . SNSD is funny and savage and they really roast each other every time they have the chance to. Facts I mean which Girl group has Visuals , Dancers , Vocalist , actress , musicals ( some of them do musicals ) , weirdos , Mc's , variety Queens , CF Queens and even a DJ in one group . HHAAHA I mean there are funny groups or groups where they have actress in it but nobody has a DJ or all (what I listed ) in one group . And also like 2NE1 is the female Big Bang and the both groups like best friends .
