I love this Technical Difficulties with some skits. It feels like they work hard for the viewers.

Pretty funny. You never see this kind of bumper anywhere else. Which makes it extremely unique.

Did they have this cued up on a tape machine ready to play as soon as anything went wrong? And is that 35mm film they're playing with in the background? (That was rarely used at TV stations, those things on the ceiling look like rollers for a theater's platter system.)

It was unique to TV20. People from all over the TV20 coverage area would bring their dogs in, line up around the block on Saturdays, then watch TV20 to see their dogs on TV. A brilliant promotions move on TV20's part.

@ioph3 Hardly any British programmes aimed at young toddlers have ever taught them the three Rs, outside of schools programmes - most programmes aimed at under-5s tend to be either cartoon or puppet animation - or real people in a world peopled by animals that are really people in costumes - most of which is either American or imported from Poland or Czechoslovakia!
@arthurvasey13 жыл бұрын
@ioph3 Kay-tee-zed-oh, he should say. British kids have been taught the alphabet by watching Sesame Street and Barney - they are being told that Z is "zee" and not "zed".

Book Mice always said Zed or Z. It was Canadian. My favorite is The Letter People.
@arthurvasey4 жыл бұрын
Michael Badger Canadians - or, as I call them, renegade Americans - they have a lot of American customs - baseball, basketball, ice hockey - they even speak with an accent that sounds, to the untrained ear, like American and is mistaken for American - only American thing the Canadians have not adopted is the American spelling system - at least they can spell - assuming that they are not illiterate or dyslexic!
