A warrior society with hardships and yet the happiest music ever. God bless you Kubanskii Cossacks! Defenders of Christianity. I visited Donskii Cossacks back in the 1990's, and made friends. They even let me ride one of their stallions. Keep your great and freedom loving boisterous culture alive!

There is nothing wrong with having a good sense of humor, my friend. I often find myself being silly, and silly is close enough to funny, and funny calls for laughter and laughter, my friend, lightens up the heart. hehe Peace be with you

Fascinating video, Agnessa. We continue to be attracted to societies and cultures that are able to combat the ills and negative aspects of modernism without isolation, but capitalize on those elements that are suitable to their needs. Those are some beautiful horses. I bet Mescovic would make a good polo player. Narodnie and Freddy

It touches deep in my heart to see how this people love their country and strive for ots progress, strenght and welfare. I believe that if ever single Russian had this feeling towards Russia it would be much easier to solve the present problems. All the best wishes and deepest appreciation to the Kuban Cossacks from a Brazilian friend!

I have a question if anyone can answer. Would Kuban Cossacks be considered to be descendants from Black Sea Cossacks who descended from Zaporozhian Cossacks? Just because from my knowledge the Zaporozhian Cossacks do not really exist anymore unless I am mistaken. Thanks in advance.

According to your benighted hypothesis, there's been an inexplicable paradox whereby the Cossacks have parted ways with their ethnicity, culture, language, and history--all in the name of politics. Considering that it never happens among humans that a group would so drastically sever native ties (the Quebecois, the Sioux, or the Kurds are case in point), what makes you think the Cossacks did? Are you fool enough to tell me I've forgotten who I am and that you know better who I should be?
@spartaknumerouno12 жыл бұрын
Cossacks are a Russian military stratum. They used to speak a southern Russian dialect, similar to the dialect of the Little Russia, which is presently in Eastern Ukraine. Remarkably, you insist that the Quebecois are French-Canadian rather than French, yet the Cossacks are somehow Ukrainian to you. Why the Qs' affinity to the French language/culture doesn't make them French, whereas the Cossacks' affinity to the Russians in Ukraine should make the Cossacks Ukrainian? Contradictions indeed.

Geetings from Hungary to the Kozaks!! We apreciate the Kozaks in Hungary wery much, becouse they're our BROTHERS! Our people (in the smal willages)dressing exactly the same clothes as Kozaks. Hungaryans riding the horses the same way as Kozaks.We're Huns! Go to KZbin and take a look! Geneticly is prooven that our DNA, is the same, so Hungaryans, and Kozaks coming from the same root! I wish FREEDOM, and LONG LIFE for all our Kozak brothers,and sisters! God bless you my dear brothers !!!

@cortezawwris Yes, very interesting when you take into consideration the Russification brought throughout the years. Millions assimilated to such a degree that they knowingly regarded themselves as Russians. The Hammer and sickle brought death and hunger making many assimilate to survive.
@clockworkhearts40852 жыл бұрын
my grandfather fled to Australia to survive. many of my ancestors were killed or fled the country. those that survived, we lost touch with. my father was never taught the language. so much culture lost. I've been piecing together the family history, but it's a slow and difficult process. many of the records are gone forever, burned up in fires during the wars.

But Russian authorities have failed to prevent the ideas behind it from spreading not only to other Siberian cities like Yekaterinburg, but also - and more seriously - to Kaliningrad and Kuban.Siberian Independence Feliks Rivkin, an activist in Yekaterinburg, says he will be leading a demonstration in his home city at the weekend to force Moscow to live up to the Russian constitution and give Russian regions their federal rights. Even if the authorities refuse, he adds, his group plans to go ahead anyway.

me..i dont get it! how is it possible to disagree wether they are russians or ukranians?dont they know what they are (or alternativelly what they WERE in the past and what they are now?)What i read is that they r Ukrainians Also if they were such fierce warriors how/why did they accept the communist slaughters(ex Stalin) and the lack of frredom? Maybe after all they had become fiercefull not bcoz they fought for freedom but rather for SURVIVAL!

The Quebecois have nothing in common w/ the rest of Canada culturally - do not share religion, outside Montreal they barely speak English. In the last referendum nearly 50% expressed their wish not to share the same state politically with the Anglophones. Indeed, very distinct the Acadians are in every respect. Despite these facts, you falsely assert that "they consider themselves french-canadian". What makes you think you're better informed about the Cossacks than you're about your own country?

I think the Kuban, who fought for the White Army were the real heroes, history has shown how much evil Bolsheviks brought the Kuban Cossacks. If ataman Shkura are not would have joined Hitler's troops in 1941, I'd have advocated for the establishment of a monument to him across the Kuban.
