Nice, With podAntiAffinity one replica lands in one node & the next replica in another node. For a statefull set deployment how should it be configured to say that replica 1 on node Y & replic 2 on node Z,. Example of such stateful set are Postgres, Strimzi kafka etc.

Stateful sets are tricky, since they are bound to a physical volume on a host.

Hi...This is informative , however just want to know how to overcome mistakes when compelling the yaml file. How do we know the rules,,,,i mean where should we use capital letters, how much space should be given...etc.... It looks simple but kills lot of time during exam. Is there any tutorial on how to create yaml files.> thanks.

In exam you have access to the docs, just copy straight from it

How do you list the podaffinity, podantiaffinity rules , nodeaffinity rules in the cluster ? I donot want to do describe of deployment/statefulset and check

These are not kubernetes objects but a property, so you can do anything like kubectl get podaffinity, that's not possible, you can I think use jsonpath instead, do some research and you should have an answer

Very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to put this together. The MongoDB replica-set I had in Kubernetes kept going down in production each time a node went offline, and after watching your video I realized that I needed to schedule the replica pods on different nodes. Thanks again!
