For me it's a tie between this and absolute, definitely not disappointed at all though. It's a fucking banger of an EP

Band has the whole package, great tracks, savage vocals and real ass lyrics. Glad to see them finally getting some well deserved recognition

Amazing EP. KK TX just has that “it” factor. This song is essentially one big breakdown, yet it sounds so much more than that. It’s often very noticeable when other bands use too many breakdowns or other stereotypical metal/hardcore elements, but this is heavy and brutal, yet unique, groovy, and mixed/blended so well. Everyone and every instrument shines through. The drums and bass (elements often overshadowed in other bands/genres) pop. Not to mention, Matt’s voice and the lyrics are just stellar and fit so well. This may not be for everyone, but it’s hard to deny KK TX is killing it.

So well said. My personal favorite band of the modern era. And they earned that respect by always dropping great projects. I always liked them but when Absolute dropped, my mind was made up.

They're good songwriters, that's the difference. Every breakdown has purpose.

So simple, yet one of the grooviest things I’ve ever heard. It’s hard to make a recording have so much energy. Randy LeBeouf is the man

I guess, better late than never? I've heard some KKTX in the past but man, this whole album absolutely fucking bangs, and the lyrics kind've resonate with me in ways that I wish I couldn't relate to but damn man, thanks for this music is all I gotta say.

For anyone wondering where the sanple at the end of the song is. It's from the Soft White Underbelly interview with warden/executionary Charlie Jones. You can find it on youtube

I think the guy at the end is a retired prison warden. He has an interview on the channel Soft White Underbelly where he talks about executions and prisoners. Very interesting.
