Yhwach hated that the soul reapers created a world that would need them. That they pride themselves to be the balancers of the world. So he wanted to exterminate all shingiami. That was a consequence of his war. He also thought very little of hollows

Yhwach hates shinigami's way more then arrancars/hollows. He would not ever grant a schrift to a shinigami. He would with arrancars though. He will even allow arrancars in his army.

Truth, and given that it was essentially the product of ambition and a drive to control on part of the ancestors, you can see why Yhwach would hate it. Not helped by the fact that his father the Soul King was enslaved and robbed of everything to make it happen.

@@manuelacosta9463 Reio foresaw the Bleach story and gave his consent to the matter. Slaying hollows to protect humanity was just a temporary solution. From Yhwachs perspective he wants to help his father. It must be the only thing that Yhwach feels empathy for. Yet the way he went on about it doesn’t make him any better than Ichhibei or the noble ancestors. Yhwach is to some extent also just a victim of his circumstances. For centuries he hears and feels what humans go through upon their death. But if there’s no concept of death anymore, he will finally be at peace and for him it will be quiet

That is because they were weak fodder. They weren't espada level arrancars from aizens army. Why do you think he spared harribel ? Because she wasn't the run of the mill fodder arrancar. Yhwach would see grimmjow and neliel as very valuable to do to their abnormal power levels amongst their race.

I like the stark contrast between Ichigo and Yhwach. One is the father who gives but then ruthlessly takes away for even petty reasons, while the son gives of himself for all while asking for nothing in return and only gets deadly in very dangerous situations. Also regarding Haschwald's companion she's just what the surviving Quincy need regarding leadership in the postwar era.

Schrifts are not given abilities. They are conduits to draw out inner powers akin to asauchi or significant items for fullbring.

Thing is, it's pretty clear that the Antithesis is what allowed Uryuu to survive the Auswählen. And Royd and Lloyd were stated to have already awakened the power of the Yourself by age 5. Haschwalth's ability to share his power is also clearly an expression of the Balance that he had well before meeting Yhwach. Yhwach's blood merely makes it easier to consciously use this power, and makes the power stronger. As for the ability to grant Shinigami and Hollows Shrifts, it's therefore pretty clear that it would be enhancing whatever power they already had. In the same way that Ichigo's Fullbring is also Zangetsu, or Tōsen's Resurrección is still Suzumebachi, or Ginjo's Bankai is still Cross of Scaffold, or, in general, that The Blade Is Me (eg Hitsugaya clearly had Hyōrinmaru before reseiving an asauchi, and Barragan had Respira before becoming an Arrancar).

Lloyd/Royd didn't have their powers before they got their schrifts. They _mimicked_ people. The ability to share power has nothing to do with the Balance. Uryu did not have Antithesis.

@@olo703 It's specifically stated that Royd and Lloyd discovered their abilities to copy appearance/memory and abilities on their own. Jugram's ability to trade Schrifts with Yhwach says otherwise. This core ability to share power obeys the rules of Balance, of exchange. This is also why when he was unconsciously giving Bazz-B his fortune before meeting Yhwach he was unable to condense reishi to do things like form a heilig bogen. It's not just the Auswählen. It's also Uyruu's ability to survive infection by Hollow reiatsu (shown against Szayel Aporro). These feats of negation, of Antithesis, are what made Uryuu "special" (to use Kubo's word) enough that his Schrift was given the letter A, same as the Almighty.

@@watcher314159 "They were identical because they subconsciously mimicked each other before birth. They realized that when they reached the age of five. And when they turned twelve, they both realized they could mimic humans other than themselves." This is not a special power. Anyone can do this in real life. Yhwach gave the schrift that allowed them to copy appearance and power/mind respectively. Jugram trades Schrifts with Yhwach and enhances the powers of others because of his special connection to Yhwach, not because of the Balance. This is a reach or a guess at best. The same with Antithesis. Uryu surviving Auswahlen could be because of something else entirely. Also Uryu never reversed the state of anything before receiving his schrift, which is what the ability does. Gerard and Pernida are specifically the only Sternritters to not receive their powers through their schrifts.

I feel like all the beings in bleach have innate unique abilities that can manifest through different methods, but are all just the same power; soul power! Whether it's through a shrift, fullbring or zanpakutou. It's all the same, the power comes from your soul. They're all connected

This is y bleach was always my personal favorite, at first it’s confusing and might turn some people away, but once you get to a certain point u realize all the powers and abilities fit in this world seamlessly. Bleach’s world building stuck with me more so than DBZ or Naruto. The hollows and hueco mundo really tie everything together imo. The new hell arc should be expanding on the universe even more. Even still to this day, Kubo is still adding things that fit in perfectly. I guarantee you continuing the Bleach anime with Ichigo and his son will be more successful than Boruto ever has been because the story is still consistent with adding new things and drawing in fan interest. So far u haven’t seen a quality dip in the newer Bleach comics like there was in Boruto.

You are correct .if yhwach was to quote inn quote give a shrift to a shinigami for example he would only awaken their shikai ability allowing them to bypass the training that would normally be required people often assume yhwach gives the abilities when in reality he awakens them as shown with Gerard,pernida,gremmy and even uryu possessing their shrift ability before yhwach bestowed them a letter though uryu wasn’t able to consciously use the antithesis. I hope somone asks kubo if there is a way Quincy’s could obtain their shrift without the aid of a Quincy like yhwach if they have a method akin to how shinigamis obtain their shikais.

I wonder what schrifts grimmjow, neliel, and harribel would have ? Combine that with ressureccion and you got something awesome. Heck combine it with segunda etapa and we are cooking. And as an arrancar you don't have to worry about auschwalen.

Schrifts are based on the person already so it'd be something like Harribel gets The Water, Neliel The Rebound and so on.

Uryuu's power activated when Juhabach did his Selection on Uryuu. This is long before Uryuu got a Schrift from Juhabach. The Schrift is just Juhabach's way of enhancing the Quincy's power and taking it for himself later.

Before Yhwach absorbed soul king he probably wouldn't be able to see the word for Ichigo's schrift just like Aizen couldn't sense his dangai form and just like Yhwach couldn't see right arm of soul king

I got another one, ichigo couls become the third "A" the Adapt, the ability to adapt to anything no matter how incomprehensible the act may be. Ichigo could adapt any fight, any powers, any situation, and then gear it towards his favor. Ichigo has already been doing this but it would shed light on why it's been happening like that for him, but also the ability would be way better as a schrift.

Everyone can read the hearts or emotions of people when fighting, because a zanpakuto has the soul of a person infused. So when they fight everyone can feel the willpower etc. during the fight because the souls are clashing

@@User5hdbh Well maybe he felt nothing when fighting Ulquiorra. Ichigo felt nothing when he fought Gin. It's not that Gin doesn't exist or hasn't feelings (he certanly does, just look at his last moments with Rangiku). It's his personality or he is very good at hiding emotions. Ulqiorra has "emtyness" or he is just depressed and freels nothing, so that's the reason Ichigo feels nothing.

I been saying for years that Ichigo can have a schrift, because he can talk with Yhwach something the other can't. His inner Yhwach is still part of the original for ended he can give a letter to Ichigo. If Yhwach is A, ichigo has to be Z and it fit with Zangetsu and they being the polar opposite of the alphabet, the start and the end.

I think what he means is letter lost through battle obviously yhwach wouldn’t want multiple letter B’s just walking around so he only picks a Quincy with the same letter as one that has died so if a person with the shrift N died he would find another Quincy with the letter n in grave don their soul.

The quincy did have those abilities before yhwach, we see evidence of this after the auswählen takes their power yet they're still able to use their abilities.

Ichigo doesn't have a shrift, that's the fact. Also when yhwach still baby it just cure all the illness but it shorten their life, shrift is a different case.
