Everytime I have issues with disconnecting my backhoe, always come back to your video and watch it. Older you get the more simple things you forget 😂

Good explanation Lucas. "I enjoy hooking up 3pt equipment"...said nobody EVER!! 🤣😂🤣

I sometimes think, man, it’s a good thing I don’t own a “real tractor”. I ain’t man enough to hook up bigger equipment. 😂

We have the concrete platform under a porch and our tools on a custom built dolly. We love changing implements and rolling the old one away and the new one in place. It did cost us $10-15K for the porch and roof when we built the new barm but it is still a great investment.

Lucas: one of these days I will be brave enough to do this. But not right now.... Thanks again for this video. You make it look so simple. Take care and stay safe.

I do understand. I wish you the best! When you’re ready, I know you can do it. 👍

I watched this in the fall when it was time to dismount the backhoe and mount the snowblower. Now we're coming up on hole-digging season and I watched it again. This old hippie appreciates the help.🧔

wish I had found you long ago. Your video about the "zerk " fitting for the throttle pedal is my problem now. Will be taking my bx 1860 with 3000 hrs in to the dealer to have the sensor and pedal repaired . Thanks for the info for I am not very mechanically inclined.

This is obvious for us experienced folks, but an important thing to note when reconnecting the BH (or connecting/disconnecting the hydros for anything, I guess) -- Before attempting to reconnect the hydraulics, shut the tractor down and relieve the hydraulic pressure by playing with the loader stick (put it in float, move it side to side, etc). You mentioned that for disconnecting, but not reconnecting.

Have you ever had an issue when fully extending the backhoe bucket? When the backhoe bucket is fully extended there is a 90 degree elbow that makes contact with the backhoe. I have had two elbows snap off in like a day.

I watched a video on youtube that I can no longer find that shows how to leave the lower 3 point hitch on with the backhoe attached. that's what I do now. remove the arms that connect the upper links to the lower and zip tie the lowers all the way up against the tractor and backhoe will fit and leave the lower arms in place.
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead2 жыл бұрын
I’ve only read about it, I’ve never seen anyone do it. 🤷🏼♂️

You pull on the outrigger hydraulic handles to lower? Never seen them work that way. I've never been on a BH that you couldn't reach back and pull towards the driver seat, to raise the outriggers while driving down the road.

Yeah, I’ve never ran a big backhoe. This is all I’ve known…

Man those jaw locks would nice! Both of mine are of a age where you have to get two pin holes perfectly lined up to slide the pins in. Lots of bumping the outriggers and arm to get them lined up and sometimes more than few bad words. But Usually only a couple of minutes per side.

I have a kioti. It has pins on the bottom. I have taken off right now. It was a little fun the first time. Waiting to reinstall. Anyone buying a backhoe unit need to make sure you get the 3 point hitch. They are expensive to replace don't now about Kubota. Kioti wants around 1000.00 for the cs2510. Make sure you get when buying a used machine.

They get pretty warm. Take a look underneath and make sure your HST fan is still intact. That’s the only cooling the hydraulic fluid has…

For an instructional video, you sure did skip over a lot of the actual steps... you talked about it, but didnt actually show most of it... im not sure if this really helped or just explained it a bit better.
