Kubota Diesel into a Geo Tracker?

Tell me what you guys think. Good idea? Any better ideas?

Congratulations on your new toy. They are fun. A VW TDI you can buy everything for the conversion as a kit. Don't know the rpm range for your Kubota but as you mentioned you may not make freeway speed. Blown motor can mean many things. The mechanic might not have any experience with these and just doesn't feel like it would be worth it to him. The 1.6l 16valve is what some try to upgrade to. I would do some testing to know for sure what is wrong with the motor. Rear seat is called fold and tumble. I pulled mine for more cargo space. In your video you can see the round ring on the bottom back of the passenger seat to get it to slide forward for the person in the back to egress. AC is a good thing along with PS. The newer ones it was a option. Put on a 2" body lift, it's cheap and they look much better. Frt and rear metal bumpers help with looks as well. If you stay with a similar engine put new capacitors in the computer, there is a video about how, cheap and easy. Interested in seeing what you do.

I don't think trackers ever did highway speed. My uncle was gunna buy one new cuz he loved the look and couldn't get it over 55

Cool idea! I've been brainstorming a good candidate for a v2203 swap. Obviously has to be a stick/manual and preferably RWD. S10s and Rangers seem too heavy. You may be on to something!

My first car was a 1993 GEO Tracker. The back passenger seat in mine was a bench and not two individual seats. It's neat to see that the next year model Tracker's after mine have deferent things. Mine didn't even have any cup holders and I remember spilling drinks in it. Have you changed out the engine yet? Haven't seen any update video's on this Tracker you got.

They still make the jimny outside the US, in both 660cc and 1500cc configuration. And there's a 5 door version too.

Low Range Off Road,they can hook you up with just about anything for Suzuki...I have a 92 removed back seat and installed aluminum diamond plate. Working on putting 16 inch tires on.Had it for 20 years.

Do it up! Diesel is always better. You can always make biodiesel easily.
