I’ve got my pops old L225 I’ve worked it for 20 years and he worked it very hard for years on the farm, the engine still don’t use oil, they’re almost indestructible, my hood has that same dent.

what camera are you using as it seems to have image stabilization, I wonder how many hours are on your tractor? My L175 is in great cond. was priced lower than most new riding lawn mowers in Wal mart or Sears

If that's a three cylinder engine it sounds like one cylinder has a issue my b6100 don't sound like that

That tractor sounds lI've it's missing on one cylinder! My L225 runs real smooth, not at all like yours.

Every farmer keeps a can of ether on the tractor for just such conditions. I never liked to use it but I had it just in case I needed it. It is better than running down a battery and possibly ruining a starter.

well i dont think it will take off in 4th gear in hi so you kinda half to unless you're facing downhill

I dunno, it's not the most powerful tractor but i would assume it's normal, my car couldn't take off in 4th.. are tractors usually able to take off in 4th?

Well...I can't say from Kubota experience, but our 75hp Massey Ferguson 175 will take off in 6th high, bogs down quite a bit if you don't have er wide open, still does even then honestly

Ohh ok maybe it can, i dont think ive tried it just seems like it wouldn't do it. Maybe in it's earlier years. I notice a considerable amount of power loss too after its been running a while

For fcuk sake put a new set glow plugs and a proper battery on it ,and perhaps you might service it while your at it, oils filters etc .And keep away from that ether easystart shit ,other wise known as engine killer !!!..other wise you've got a nice little tractor there ,shame to spoil it for a cents worth of tar.
