I think it will go together easily but what will be a challenge is going to be cleaning out the housing. I plan to use diesel to get all the little metal bits out. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for watching. Keivn

I think I would go with a replacement hub. I would also be worried about metal bits getting into the bearings on the opposite side. Can you flush the entire differential? Sorry, that's a real pain to deal with.

Mr. Hardy, I am going to try diesel to flush the housing. I will also level it some what then fill it with diesel and after that, drop the left side so it flushes out. I may need to flush it once or twice. It's going to be messy but needed I believe. A gentleman made a comment about Timken bearings. He was saying the cause is heavy loader work. Which makes sense. I was do some this summer but not a lot. I will take that into consideration when I am on the farm in the future. Thanks for watching and commenting. Kevin

I just did this on a L2550dt you shoud do oth sides and remove every thing

This is probably the second or third time per side that I've done it. It's weird to me how it occurs. On this tractor, I won't see this problem on the other side for more than year. Sometimes two or three years. I like the idea of doing both at once and having a fresh start. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! Kevin

There's nothing I hate more than doing the same job twice. The hub is definately questionable so I'd replace it while I've alread got it torn apart. Sometimes you get a better deal on a whole a assembly vs. components.

I agree. The part is 10 days out. I may fix this without it. I still need to check the area in the space where bearing rests. I looked at the hub of my m105x. the one I did before and it looks like there isn't much to the space where the bearing goes. I'm still on the fence. Kubota does sell an assembly for the cover but not the hub itself. That would be a great idea though. Thanks for your thoughts! Kevin

​@@MillGapFarmsI can't argue too hard one way or the other. I've replaced bad bearings but I've never had one blow apart and chew everything up like that; I'm impressed. Good luck with it.

T&ese axels bearings are not &eav|duty enough for loader work,I'm replacing the 2nd set at 1255 hrs on my 5240

I'm going with roller bearings this ^ime,aftermarket Timken bearings,3 times the load rating. 114.00 for the outer bearing and 110 for the inner.i used kubota parts on the rest of it.

This makes sense. I don't do a lot of heavy loader work but I do some and that might be all it took. Do you have a cross reference chart for the part numbers. I would like to use them. My only concern would be is that if bearings are stronger what would fail if too much load is applied? Maybe nothing? What are your thoughts? Thanks Kevin
