You’re still going to see those spots you sanded, didn’t go far enough. Looks better than I thought it would. Can you see them in person?

I live in the humid south. I just sold my L3301 that stayed outside uncovered for 6 years, and it didn’t have any rust. That’s strange you have that.

Man I’ve had a hand full of these kubotas and I haven’t been that impressed with any of there paint quality 🙃

Dude after watching that video your tractor must have been left Outdoors or exposed to something didn't make sense. Went and checked my 2020 l2501 and I have rust starting in the exact same spot. My tractor has been undercover since I purchased it. Thanks for the video

Yeah man it’s kind of disappointing because overall I love Kubota’s products. They really need to start dipping all their panels (primer) like the automotive industry. Also an extra layer or 2 of orange paint would be nice too lol

@@RaztechPowersports disappointing indeed! I baby that dang thing and to see rust, form like that literally on the exact same spot on the hood definitely a deffect. Agreed on both points. Well i guess I'll start buying the product you suggest to slow this down. Have a good Memorial brother

What paint did you use and has it held up?

I was looking for the thinner you used and ratios. Lacquer thinner at ~25%? Thanks.

I can’t remember the exact ratio, but it took a fair amount for it to spray through the gun smoothly

Raztech - what brand of paint did you use . Was there a color formula or was this a custom match . It appears this was a single stage . Would suggest you try bleeding agent like blendall by grow corporation for soft edge blending . Any review for the performance increase for the fuel pump timing . Agree that Kubota paint is crap .

I ended up using the OEM Kabota paint. Yes it is a single stage but I put down 4 coats. I feel that part of the problem with the factory paint job is that it is simply too thin. I’m actually going to try to get it hooked up to a pto dyno next week. So far the performance is much better!

I’m picky with my tractor as well. 1988 and still pretty. But I do want to freshen up the paint. Even kept inside they dull over time. It’s because Kubota uses terrible paint.

I don’t like Kubota paint. When I repaint my L2850 I’ll be doing a base coat with clear coat.

I considered that as well.

Maybe you guys need to wax your tractors their metal what did you expect really
@RaztechPowersports2 жыл бұрын
Wax won’t help thin paint and raw steel. I do buff it once a year tho
