This is a perfect machine for a yard sprinkler installer. It won't tear up the yard, can fit through most gates and you can put it inside an enclosed trailer. There's also another advantage in operating a micro-excavator...it improves your operator skills because you have to compensate the lack of brute force with finesse and technique.

I have had this Kubota for over one year , its by far the best micro digger on the market, it can go through a door way 750mm wide, and dig as deep as 1.9 meters, and very powerful with a breaker attached, the cost was £15,850 with 4 buckets

Really like the idea of pilot controls as opposed to the control location on other 1-ton excavators. And so far, most of them aren't zero tail swing, which is another big appeal. If I had the choice of renting one of these or the Yanmar I rented recently, I probably would have gone for the Kubota.

Dont look down at the micro minis. I have a kh-41, 3,000lb machine. So far I have put in a complete septic, removed a few stumps so big I couldn't drag them out of the hole along with countless others. This is all in shale, bed rock and clay soil. O I also put in a 700ft driveway through a swamp with the same machine.

Nice video as always, but it isn't the first U10, there were an U10 and at least a U10-3 before (I own one), a underestimated feature (option on the U10-3 which also have pilot controls) are the joysticks on the seat, if they are on the front console, it likes to happen, the it starts rocking, thru an impulse pass thru your arms which are free in the air (not resting on the arm rests). Also the machine is not zero tail, it's short tail, there is still a little bit overhang also with the tracks in the wider position. As answer to another comment, it can run a hammer, I have one with 240J, which weighs around 100kg, I also added a hydraulic thumb and quick coupler. (As tho aux ports over a 8/3 electric switch valve) But, as always with heavy attachment (for the machine), you have to be care full, by swinging over the side, you have to know what goes an what doesn't. I also run a 60cm 55l bucked without problems, as well as a 80cm hydraulic tilting finishing bucket. All in all a very nice machine which can do al lot more than most people (including my self before ;-) think.

@@bigdaddy4197 From Kubotas data sheet, it's at full reach over the lowered plate 150kg, to 440kg at 1,5m from the middle of the machine at 0,5m height (that sounds realistic to me), but true the relatively short boom, it's almost more interesting, what you can pull out of a hole (stumps, rocks) and they can pretty decent sized and weight compared to the machine. I get any ground break up with it, with a 40cm tooth or 20cm smooth bucket, or another example two 60cm buckets fill a wheelbarrow quit good, what's not so good, is the dumping height, I would say, that 1,5m is the highest, what is useful.

They do as far as bucket power. And what nice about it, you can get the boom real close to a wall with the boom being parallel to the wall, as it got a back hoe swing and the house swing. Ideal for doinf drain tile without diging a big tranches. They are also smoother than a sub compact backhoe.
