I've got one of these little machines and I LOVE it ! It's got a thumb and I split the thumb circuit with a 12 volt valve to run a small tilt clean-up bucket too.

I know a plumber that has a u-17 and have used it myself. It is a great excavator for residential use because it is small enough to get in tight spaces and easily to handle. He uses it all the time and has very few breakdown with the exception of hydraulic hoses but that is going to happen to all the equipment like that

Excellent presentation! lookin like some comparisons should come next BX 25D Vs. U17 perhaps........I do believe those two are the dynamic duo of ultralight dirt equipment ! Having owned the Current BX 25D and a KX-41, KX-71 Very solid reliable machines!

I have a U25. I went to the dealership to order one of these but they had the used U25 I currently have. Very happy with it. Maybe I’ll downsize to the U17 when I’m ready for a new one.

made the mistake of selling my Kubota 2018 u17 during covid quarantine. I had 65 hours on it and someone offered me $25K cash.... at the time it was a deal.....fast forward to now..... hindsight 20/20...........

I got one for 17K with 92 hours on it. This was 2017 or so. Some rich guys toy sitting next to 300K worth of Mercedes in his garage. One of my better deals but he also sold an SVL 75 for a damn song before I got there! Equipment prices have got so bad its not good for the industry.

Go buy a cheap mini excavator off of an auction
@TuckerFromKentucky28 күн бұрын
I have the Chinese version of this excavator. I believe it's sold in other countries as a Kubota even. It has a real Kubota 3 cyl diesel engine. There are operational differences, like no expanding tracks (it's an option), and the boom swing is a button on the left hand control. This one appears to have cushion valves mine doesn't have but I do want to buy a few of them I just need info on fittings and whatnot. All in all to have a similar machine though more rustic for a quarter the price is good by me who just uses it around my property.

What model of excavator or size you need to get all depends on the use for it. A have operated a u-17 was the right excavator for the particular use and have operated 325 Cat excavators also. You have to get the right equipment for the type of work you plan on doing whether it is full size or smaller and learn to work within the operating limits of each piece of equipment. Usually what make of equipment you get from my experience depends what dealership where you can get parts and service locally without traveling all over the state. That is what I look at when I buy the products I use

The kubota dealers in my area don't come recommended by many shops.
