Kubota V2003 Beta Marine rear crank seal oil leak repair

While servicing the main engine on London water bus of Paddington, the Water Bus Milton. Last year I noticed a serious oil leak at the rear while carrying out a normal service and inspection. I was asked to return to assess the issue and make repairs as was necessary.

An engine bay and bilge area definitely want to be in the cleaner dryer side of boating. Hopefully you don't have any major engine issues and perhaps just some much needed cleaning.

Yeah I've had people complaining about the music so I stopped it doing anything when I'm talking II don't know if people really want to watch me I'm bolt everything down to last thing and spend an hour doing that so I speed that bit up I'm sure you will get the initial idea. I just think some music would be better than just sped up sound however my music taste Is not going to be everyone's taste. Maybe hardcore metal or death metal or maybe some enya

I did have a Narrow boat, a 40ft Project that I sold not long ago. It was a project. But I got married and the boat was to far away. I'd like a new boat but we are moving soon and about to have a small human. I got into this game as I was living on a boat in London. And really hated wasting my life in a security job. You know, you have reminded me to make an intro video for the channel. Must get onto that. Thanks for the brain jog.

Hi, I've got a gearbox leak on a prm 150 d2 the oil pump end cap seems to be leaking. Is it possible to remove that cap and put on a new gasket in situ.?

Common leak is from the oil control valve. It'll dribble down over the pump body and also the out put shaft coupling. Can you send me a picture [e-mail]

I remember when they bought Milton, I was with Waterbus, steering Perseus. Standing on top of a BMC 1.5 all day..then they changed to Russll Newberies for the trad vibes. Now Beta in the tasteful non-red paintwork :) I wonder how many hours that did before it needed the seal?

It was installed in 2012 If I recall correctly. It's the second V2003 I have seen with a leaky seal.
