This story and these characters are so special because of the way how they made these people Dev & Sonakshi. How many of you remember the cute scene where Sonakshi gets hurt on Diwali day and Dev takes care of her by feeding her and spending time with her. At that time they have this conversation of how he is her prince charming and he will come save her from a dragon. And she says, no you keep feeding me paratha and make me strong so I can fight all my hurdles and difficulties myself. (Episode 179) Fast forward 100 episodes, here in this episode he is asking if his daughter wants to listen to a story of a mighty princess who fights a dragon and defeats it. From where he was a prince charming, fulfilling his lady Love's dreams and aspirations and now being a dad to a girl child, incorporating his strong wife's thoughts into the story and making up a story of a strong princess (also referring to his wife who has faced all her difficulties in life) and not the usual one waiting for a male to come for help!! Nothing wrong in that but still, they are writing these memories and story lines and dialogue in such a way that they connect with us and makes us come back to it again and again. This story and these characters, the creators and of course- Shaheer, Erica, and all the supporting cast have done a fabulous job of living this role!!!!

Both Golu and Soha are more mature and understanding than Ishwari could be in her own lifetime. Even after everything she did to ruin Sona and Dev’s relationship, she still doesn’t understand that her possessiveness and selfish behavior is what shattered her family. Ishwari justifies her every action with the word “ma” but she failed to realize what being a good parent actually means. Thankfully, Sona and Dev are good parents despite the bitterness between them and have raised Soha and Golu to me compassionate as well💕
