TKD was my first martial art. (ITF) I did it for 8 years throughout my teens.👍🏼

Thank you! I was blessed with a great teacher. Do you understand Japanese?

Thank you for sharing the knowledge, Sensei. No, I can only speak English and some Thai... but I have a knack for picking up technique from demos on video. I had my first Zendokai tournament the beginning of last month and lost on points unfortunately. This technique would have helped me out if I had known it! Osu, and thank you!

How much Kyokushin is there in Kudo? Does Kudo use all kyokushin leg strikes and foot work?
@jean4j_3 жыл бұрын
I'd be interested in the answer to this question as well. I think there's few kyokushin involved nowadays, I think it was different originally but now it's more a Japanese MMA with lot of influence from Muay-Thai and Boxing as well

I think that a osoto gari or osoto guruma ar better ending there

tommaso forza Thats exactly what I show in video #3 when the opponent tries to correct his ballance. But in this one I was looking at a situation where he is falling forward from my pulling down on his head and kneeing him .

Is Kudo still a Karate based style?
@kudoista7 жыл бұрын
tvr fan Not really. Its roots are from Kyokushin. So you can see the Kyokushin influence in the basic routines and ettiquete, but technically it has developed into something quite unique. It depends on the teacher though. Some still have a heavily karate based style. My personal style is more like 60% Muay Thai, 10% karate/TKD, 10% Judo, 20% BJJ. All blended so they work together as one effective multi range system.
