When I had my 1992 Honda accord this was the plan, all suspension and everything was almost done… My neighbor kept calling the cops on me and my car was impounded, tried getting my vehicle out for the 2nd time but was almost charged $900 dollars + registrations because I moved from Arizona and for 3 years never changed my address for the car… price then went up to almost $1400 and for a young 19 year old living off my paycheck I just couldn’t get it back…. Excellent fab work my guy 👍. The way you made it a push and pull with 2 fans I have never seen done before. Very "cool" 😎
@edbo102 жыл бұрын
it's much more common in desktop pc cooling since there's a lot more room to work with. But because vehicles lack the room, there isn't much data on push+pull configs but since the uploader mentioned that the 2nd fan actually overcools the engine, it's likely that push+pull would be superior to just pull fan alone. it's pretty great how he can just fab everything up too, very nice welds
@amr1t_2 жыл бұрын
@@edbo10 yeah I was just thinking about that while watching, I remember planning out my airflow when I built my most recent PC and experimenting.
@brandonolney7936 Жыл бұрын
When your car is moving down the road, the air coming through the grill is more than any radiator fan will ever possibly pull. Adding a second fan is just more obstruction once you're moving. Cooling fans are made to keep the car cool while sitting. That's why when your fan dies you can still drive at a particular speed where air flow overcomes heat generation. Of course a really hot day can change that,but regardless you will see no benefit to dual fans on a moving car.

One thing that can help with shrouds is adding rubber flaps for highway air to bypass the fan. While the fans are off, air can bypass, but when the fans come on they push the flaps closed. If you google "volvo fan" you'll see the common fan has 4 big flaps.

If you can find a H22 head it will fit on that block with minimal modification I called it a G22. In 2005 I had a CD5 just like that but gold, made 475hp with eagle rods, wiseco pistons, supertech valves, 6363 turbo on a ramhorn. That was a lot of power back then but we where limited by our tuning knowledge and tech. I have pics of how to mod the head to fit that block if you want them the build logs are all prob gone.
