Kuffner Ridge

Route Type: Mixed ridge climb at high altitude;
Time Required: A long day;
Difficulty: D, IV, mixed, exposed and delicate in some section;
Description: The Kuffner Ridge is a mix of several ingredients - technically interesting, almost incredibly panoramic, great ambient, relatively easy access, and a varied terrain, that always keep you guessing what's next.. In some point the exposure can be quite unnerving, so don't come here if you're problems with it.

An other nice video thanks. I would like to see many others, so please, when you walk on glaciers be roped. Crevasses are also unforgiving with good climbers 😉

I think I would have put the rope on for the glacier and taken it off for the climb. We went back to the Fourche after the Kuffner and climbed the Brenva the next day.

Hi Pawel, we got to Aig de Midi on 13 sept as you can see in the movie (min 0:07), slept on La Fourche bivuac and climbed Kuffner on 14 sept. On the night of 12 sept it was snowing a little bit. :)

I have a friend who's one of the Aosta Alpin Safe Rescue Team which usually risk their life to save climbers in serious difficulty situations. It would be very interesting to know their opinion about stupid ones like you fallen in a crevasse after walking not roped. Not a good thing to be so unaware of the risks to walk without rope in those places. I traversed there many times and crevasses are normal.
