It is composed in Kannada language by Vujaya Dasaru (born of Shri Bhruga rishi) who was in 17th C. He has composed innumerable songs on Lord Vishnu. Once Lord Venkateshwara chariot stopped in Tirumala because Vijaya dasaru could not have darshan of main deity. After he had darshan, subsequently chariot moved. There ate many powerful dasa's who came in Dwaita philosophy. Dwaita philosophy was propounded by Shri Jagadguru Madhwachrya in Udupi which is in present day Karnataka. Shri Madhwacharya was the avatara if Bhagwan Vayu (Hanuma in Trethayuga, Bhima in Dwaparayuga, Madhwa in Kaliyuga). Many many powerful saints came in the lineage of Madhwa Philosophy.

An excellent example of the composition by Vijaya Vittaladasaru -- (1682-1755) Also known as Vijaya Dasa, Vijaya Vittala Dasa is one of the most reknowed among the scholars and philosophers in Dwaita philosophy as well Dasa Sahitya, revered as the spiritual heir of Purandara Dasa. In this song (so well rendered by Panditji - who always encourages others to join him -- which is the true spirit of such keerthanas) the composers asks Krishna, "koogidaru dhvani kelade -- even though I am shouting out for you, can you not listen to my voice".? "shira baagidaru daya baarade? - even though I bow down my head (praying) dont you have compassion? Such a beautiful composition and appropriate rendition
