Very impressive and athletic forms. Most unusual and a lovely studio by the way. Great uniforms too.

It's all kuk sul. minor differences based on the grandmaster teaching it. grandmaster choonsik yang who copyrighted kuk sul do in the USA has his own way of doing kuk sul. in hyuk suh was the first to copyright kuk sool won in the USA, so obviously caused some conflict with the other original korean masters. They hate each other. What it comes down to though, it's all kuk sul, except one association is cult-like and berates other disciplines in youtube comments.

@@landonrivers Thanks for explaining the difference between Kuk Sool Won and Kuk Sul Do, Landon .. I will correct one comment. You say it's all Kuk Sul, except one association is cult-like and berates other disciplines in youtube comments. #1 The statement itself makes no sense because I'm assuming you lean towards Kuk Sul Do and your statement is actually "berating" Kuk Sool Won practitioners by saying they are "cult-like" and "berate" others, when you actually just berated them yourself as a Kuk Sul Do supporter. #2 I have read thousands of Kuk Sool Won comments over 12 years and have never once seen a Kuk Sool Won student speak anything but positivity. This is because Kuk Sool Won students are taught #1, respect of others. I'm sorry if Kuk Sool Won practitioners in your area or online are commenting negatively. It's not fair for Kuk Sool Do students and both disciplines should just stick to practicing harder. Lastly I will comment that Kuk Sool Won is the largest martial arts association in the world with hundreds of schools in many, many countries. They practice keeping the art as traditional as possible by making sure everyone learns in the same manner and work hard to be precise in the art . . . because there are thousands of them that appear to look alike, does not make them cult-like. In the event you learn Kuk Sool Won in your area and have to move away, there is a good chance you will be able to continue your training elsewhere. Whereas with Kuk Sul Do, I'm not sure you would have much luck finding another. At any rate, the Kuk Sul Do students look like they are working hard and they should keep up the good work.

@@applejacks123fdfdsw56 You're right on one matter. There was rough history with a kuk sool won chapter in the area (which closed down eventually). You can also see the other comments on this video speaking down to this guy. Have you read them? It's undue. I stand by my statement though. This art is all kuk sul, or hapkido, or whatever. It's good stuff. It all came from the same place, and it's just interpreted differently by different original Korean masters wanting to carve their own path. It's so petty that people are saying anything apart from In Hyuk Suh's kuk sool won is wrong, and I'm surprised you haven't seen any of it over 12 years. There is a reason so many masters disassociated with In Hyuk Suh and started their own path.

0:09 you just lead with your forehead. Probably not a good habit. Yeah, it's forms practice, but that's not good. Sorry.

Not part of the association. Another kuk sool won copy cat. Horrible forms by the way. This instructor should be ashamed of himself.

Look at some of the Master’s work. He is one of the best instructors in his side of the country

You are somewhat correct. This federation was founded by a Suh Suhk Kwang Jang Nim who left the foundation a couple years ago. His name is Choon Sik Yang. You can find his demonstration when he was part of the association on a video located here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5i7XpJqmJp7sNU This is from a channel called, "richhewton". I am part of the World Kuk Sool Association.

Kuk Sool Won is actually not the original. Kuk Sool was started in 1958 when multiple masters joined together in the Kuk Sool Hwe. Suh In Hyuk left that organization to form Kuk Sool Won in 1961. My own organization, Kuk Sool Kwan, was formed in 1962 by a master who was both older and higher ranking in hapkido than Suh was. But Suh didn't start lying about being the founder until he came to the US in 1975.

So this man's Kuk Sool Do is fine. If Suh can lie about Kuk Sool, it doesn't belong to him, and since there are others who started Kuk Sool who continue to practice it, those under Suh still have brothers elsewhere.
