I loved Empresses in the Palace, Yanxi Palace, and Dreaming of the Qing Dynasty it was a time travel series. The Palace was a time travel series and had comical moments.

Why is Meili so stupid, this is beyond being innocent and trusting. She has to know by now someone is trying to poison her and cause a miscarriage. She knows that the Emperor's consort has tried to kill her before and still acts polite to her. She has to know that her rival consort and her mother in law are in cohoots with either other. Yet, she puts everything in her mouth they give her to eat and drink. She refuses to tell her husband the truth, and the Dowager Empress about anything going on. I can't feel sorry for this main character. She acts like she is mentally challenged, or has a death wish. What do you call those people who like and love pain? Masochistic I think it is called.
