1:17 Correction: Meiteis were living in present Manipur way before 33AD. Since time immemorial, they were living at hills just like the kabuis, tangkhuls and several other old tribes. The Valley region a.k.a. imphal valley was earlier water bodies or lakes. With time passes by, water bodies dried up and the meiteis came down and reside in valley. The rise of meitei kingdom in valley started in 33 AD. So, the tribes and the meiteis have been living in the hills atleast 2000-3000 BC

Being a Meetei, we know more about our root and history. There were 7 clans kingdom in Manipur in BC, later all these kingdoms merged into a single kingdom in 33 AD under the great empiror NONGDA LAIREN PAKHANGBA. Meetei king had wrtten royal chronicle which have written daily event of Meitrabak since BC until Britsh period , king Churachand . Manipur had different names in different period in history as Kangliepak, Meeteileipak, Meitrabak, Manipur. Kangleipak and Meitrabak means land of Meetei. After the change of name of the land as Manipur, Meetei are also known as Manipuris.However, Meetei king allow different tribe to live in Meitrabak. But it is very clear that Very few kukis were allow to settle in Meitrabak during British era only. After merger of Manipur to India , with the changes in land reform and caste system , it ruins completely to Meitei/ Manipuris. As Meitei had witness several horror situation in history and learnt lesson from those , Meitei will never give up whatever cause to protect their motherland Manipur. I'm from north east and the amount of people converting from hindu to christianity is scary My sisters and aunts were Hindus but got married to Christian men later on we learnt that they were being forced to convert saying their husband families will not be allowed inside the church if their hindu daughter in law doesn't convert to christianity My distant uncle is Christian and he hasn't ever entered our home cause we have pictures of shiva and other hindu deities During college due to some problem I stayed for 1 year at a Christian pg giving money ofcourse There once my warden called me at night and asked about my god when I named shiva after her many insistence she said shiva and all other hindu god are dead and that jesus is the only one alive that my god are actually human All through these years I had not said anything in these religion debates but after all these experiences I couldn't stop myself from defending my god from then on
