Very talented. Not only does he lead and direct the song but the guitar was flawless, sang well and stomped on all those necessary fx boxes while being filmed live on camera… gifted!

Just saw them in Toronto earlier this week. The best show I’ve seen in years.

I have a great identification with this band and with its frontman! Maybe it's because I'm also a survivor of 1973...

isn’t this cultural appropriation?
@EightMilesHigh19662 жыл бұрын
I’d actually argue that no, it isn’t because Kula Shaker, although made up of white members, has Indian musicians play the Indian instruments used on their albums, as well as following a traditional Indian song form (slow improvised beginning before speeding up into the main part of the song) in some of their music. While they obviously use many Indian elements, I think they do it in a fairly respectful manner.

No, this isn't cultural appropriation. They add to the experience with their unique style, and create a new thing. Just listen to their version of Don't Worry and Be Happy on this channel. For me their music is a good example of East + West. I am from India btw.
