I grew up in a very rural, Roman Catholic part of Ireland. I heard this song in my early teens in the 90's and was obsessed with it. In a way it helped change how I view God and the universe and introduced me to Eastern spirituality which I'll always be grateful for. :)

That's awesome! I grew up Protestant but after some years in an atheist and later pagan wilderness I came to worship God as Vishnu and His avatars Krsna, Narasingha, etc. I didn't know the song until recently though.

He really is!! Myself and three other fans waited close to four hours in the snow for them in Glasgow 2016, literally couldn’t feel my feet and when he came down he was horrified we’d been waiting so long and got on to the security guard for not letting us wait inside the door. He apologised and said they’d been meditating for hours and didn’t think anyone would be waiting on them coming out!! 🤣🤣 Saw them a third time in Glasgow again 2023 and joked to his roadies saying “tell him his mad fans from Dundee are here and we’ve got a bus to catch can’t be waiting on him umming for five hours tonight” and low and behold he went and got the band straight away!! 😍🤣 They just get better and better in my opinion, been a fan since I was 10 and saw them in Dundee 1996 or 1997, was gutted when they disappeared and overjoyed when they reappeared!! Really hope they keep bringing out album after album and don’t go anywhere again although songs like this are timeless, we can always come back to them!! 🙏🏼🥳

Narashimha (Nrsingadeva as mentioned) is the 4th incarnation of Lord Vishnu, part Lion part Human. It was done to go around a boon granted to the demon Hiranya Kashyapu who asked for death at hands of "neither human nor animal" as one of the conditions in a boon as an alternate to immortality. The 10 incarnations or Avatars are described here: www.hinduismfacts.org/dashavatar/

Still sounds good after all this year's. It's hard to believe this memorable track is nearly a quarter of a century old. The band's impact at the time was so strong that Noel Gallagher called them "the greatest band in the world". "K" truly stood out with its topnotch songwriting and the skilled use of Indian music not heard since The Beatles. What a time to be young and fully alive to revel in it all.

As a Hayley Mills lifelong fan can't believe I just found out about her son Crispian fronting this band! Hayley seems to have the typical "nutty" Hollywood life even though she didn't live there! But seems happy now. Love this band.

I first heard this song on a double CD compilation of British/UK alternative music around 1997/98 that I bought in a bargain at a local retailer named ‘ The Warehouse ‘ in Lower Hutt, Wellington, NZ in 1998 and while I was doing a night shift job I had the CD radio playing the music in the background. About 3am this song played echoing through and after hearing it? I was hooked. Has a really cool Indian sound and groove that I can’t get sick of. As for the band ‘ Kula Shaker ‘ very underrated and deserves more notice for its time.

This is almost 30 years old. That is crazy. I remember it like it was yesterday. The 90s was an incredible time for British music. The variety of different styles. I love Kula Shaker and this song in particular. A lot of influence from the 60s in this one. Especially the guitar, with the Hendrix chord etc. Love it!

This song has such sentimental value to me... grew up listening to this song... Listening to it today brings back memories of beautiful days spent with my maama who was a devotee, listening to the music, singing along and enjoying being in the peaceful and serene presence he always gave off. 4years now since he passed on. Jai Sri Krishna, I know he is at peace...
