I am Vietnamese, I listened this song 4 years ago for the first time. The sound of drum and string instruments, the rhyme, the voice, the hand movement ... just amazing, supreme devine. I dont know why but every time I listen to this devine song at night, it brings the feeling like just me and the song around, even then just the song, me does not exist. Madame As you said this piece of 'shlokas' is considered as a lullaby of Lord Ayyappa at Shabarimala. As this song starts and progresses, all the lamps in the Sanctum Sanctoriom is being put out one by one and as it comes to the end the last lamp would have been put out and the door is being closed. Then it's believed that the 'Bhagvaan' has slept.

I have been listening to this song for quite a while now. Both of your voices go together really well, and something I appreciate about Sooryagayathri’s singing is how effortless it sounds. She seems to really enjoy whatever she is singing. I also found it a bit interesting how she looks so serious while singing whereas her guru is smiling throughout the piece 😆 Overall it’s a beautiful take on a classic Ayyappa hymn that I have been hearing since childhood.
