They make grand looking swords and we have certainly noticed their handiwork. It might be something we would look into but if they are typically sold out then they likely don't need additional business.

That's not a nagel. It doesn't penetrate the sword and affix the guard to it. That's just a guard made to superficially look like a messer guard and nagel. Also, messers are absolutely swords. All of that nonsense about guilds and Germanic legalities is unfounded myth.

If you're going to talk about a product, it's important to know something about what you are discussing. Describing something incorrectly, as part of a product review, is not informing the potential buyer accurately. Someone purchasing this product may believe they are buying a messer with a traditionally fashioned nagel, and this review uses the term nagel even though the product doesn't have one. The hypothetical customer would justifiably feel misinformed.

Hope the guys at Kult of Athena offer their sharpening service for that one because Condor is iffy at best with Sharpening blaids especially on very large o e like swords and machetes and they package their products awfully in those cheap card board boxes.

I would not buy that Blaid from anyone other than Cult of Athena because it a good design and they will be truthful about the sharpness. Nice big Blaid.

I absolutely fucking *DESPISE* that handle geometry. Looks like it was designed by a pre-schooler. If I buy this sword, I’m *ABSOLUTELY* converting it into a one-handed Falchion.

I actually found out somethings about the messers done by Condor first there is a nasty internet rumor about the handles having a one inch in diameter hole immediately below the guard making that location extremely weak and subject to breaking this is completely false (I contacted the condor plant in El Salvatore and was shown the blade blades just before the the handles are affixed to the tang. The one inch hole where blade and handle meet is fake news and doesn’t exist in that location however.. it is technically not full tang because it has five holes three for pins and two skeletonization holes to remove excess weight in the handle these holes are not in a location that will weaken the overall sword. .......just saying to me it is definitely worth the money ! This goes for both messers !

Its not a Blood Groove, or a Notch. Its called a FULLER and yes it is used to reduce the weight of the blade, with out weakening it. I suggest you learn your sword terms.
