I remember when I came for Godly seed program for 5 days... Seeing all my role models... I didn't even think of bringing out my phone, because I know what I came there to do. Only on the last day after the whole program. That's when I remembered I need to take pictures. I believe when you go for a program, receive the blessings first, let not your heart be on the gospel artist but the Lord the Gospel artist is trying to show you. Peace out. I have been to a service where we were all asked to post a phrase for evangelism to all our contacts, telling them about the love of God etc. Bro Kenoly spoke well and we all need to take out time to assess ourselves in the place of worship. Great discussion.

I love this topic. More of God's grace. Talking about distraction in God's presence, I also discovered that whenever Im having worship session at home personally most especially in the kitchen in the morning, I do feel the presence of God and inspiration do come. BUT each time I tried to do a kind of recording, I felt that the inspiration was not like it was in the beginning. Even during prayer, it was like that. May God help and deliver us. Well, this is an unpopular opinion that saints community church, where I worship, pastored by Chris Onayinka Olusegun holds. I’m glad it’s becoming popular now and being talked about. In my church, even the camera man sings and joins us in the place of worship and this is because of the constant rebuke and admonition from our pastor. It is now a culture in church to put our phones on silence mode and not to bring it out to record whatever is happening from the beginning of the service to the point of announcement and offerings (because of fund transfers. Lol). I’m glad I attend saints community church. We need a lot of discipline like this in the church today.

I attended Saints Community Church Yaba for a while before I joined Oikia Christian Center but I must say I really love how Saints Community upholds discipline. Even the camera men in your Yaba church don't move around with cameras because this can really be distracting. There's a fixed spot for the camera and so the camera man can focus and even write as the Pastor preaches. Although, during your camp meetings, you use drone. Well, this post isn't to publicize any church because I think we have a number of churches who don't even use cameras to take photos or videos during services. But I must say, your church has done well in making sure everyone who attends their services focus. And it's unlikely to find someone pressing their phones during your services. Overall, God bless the Zion Culture for talking about this.

Phone was banned in my teenage church. Although people still play games and go to social media. It's church just give God less than four hours of your time. After all we use the phone every day of the week. We should endeavor to give God not just 4 hours on Sunday but to also make time to pray and study his word. I worship at Mountain of Fire btw

When you know the intention of this discussion is genuine and out of pure love is when you see Jaymikee correcting even the anchor from 23:22 - 23:00 And the anchor also took the FULL correction as evident in 23:29 So, thank you (Holy spirit) for setting things straight. Another thing i want to say is; what about ministers who tells the congregation to bring out their phones to capture the moment while worshipping? Like Jay Mikee said, either slow or fast, its all worship. But some ministers tells the congregation to capture the moment with their phones and five other people in the video. In quote, "video your praise, let the devil/enemy see it" or "video your praise, in years to come, you'll look back and testify because of the praise you're doing today". Will you say that's a leading from the spirit of God? Or it's just for record purposes?

Some churches encourage members to take pictures and videos of themselves while in church and send it to the church media's DM so that the church can repost on their social media pages. When I noticed the pastor was more focused on growing publicity on social media (which in itself is not bad), I lost interest. Most churches/ministers are more focused on fame these days.

God bless you so much. We always try to avoid talking about these things because everyone wants be seen as spiritual. Putting a camera on my face while I'm worshipping is very distracting, i won't lie. Especially with the camera flash. 🤦 If at that point you try to look, they'll say you're not in the spirit.😂 So, is it just me? Or are people pretending to really worship while the camera flashes in your eyes. What's really happening? That extra performance just to look like you're so much into the worship is just off for me.

I don't really care what people feel is okay, but let's not pretend that she did that as worship to God. I get it, she's a fan of Moses Bliss, so am I 😂😂, but at least let's be truthful.
