@@spalderz thank you for correction, we usually use 'slang' as accent but I recently know 'slang' is synonym with 'jargon'; it just a few word, jargon for high technical term and slang for lower everyday word, not the whole sentence and the way we talk/sound.

Asian people remove the starch beforehand, that's why we rinse it at least three times..so no need to drain the rice and "water through the rice" 🤭😌

Uncle Kumaar, there’s one thing many of us are missing. And that is the rice needs to be leftover instead of freshly cooked. Because as Filipinos, we believe the rice needs to be cold from the previous day otherwise the rice will not be separated.

That's why we wash the rice first because the uncooked rice from the packet usually have rice dust (crushed rice) that caused the rice starchy. When you clean the rice a few times, it'll be less starchy. 😂

Actually draining the rice once it is cooked is used in India. Nothing wrong with that method. In fact it’s much healthier as most of the starch is removed and it lowers the glycemic index. People commenting that rice should not be drained after cooking are wrong. Social media is awesome when it comes to herd mentality.
