Kumiko jig for a disc sander

This time, we will introduce a jig for disk sanders.

I developed this jig some years ago when I made a large kumiko panel on request.
This jig is constructed of a base board and an angle plate.
The angle plate is connected to the berth board by an axis on the left side, which provides stable and accurate movement for high work efficiency.

Just purchased the plans thank you! May I ask what size is your disc sander? (I have a small 5" so I might have to scale it down?) And what grit sand paper is recommended. Thanks!

Thanks for your comment. Sorry for the late reply. I am using a 12" one. It depends on the table size but maybe you need to adjust the jig's size. I always use 120 grit 👍🏻

It looks as if the disk of the sander may over time sand away the edge of the pivoting plates because it can touch the sanding disk?
