It’s beautiful besides being dirty due the potentiality of it all. It’s easy to filter the lake by pumping the water out through barrel filters with screens and medium back into the lake continuously and take some swimming pool cleaning nets to gather the floating debris. Easy. No problem. Don’t worry it will be done once epiphany returns. Thank you sir🙏🏽

Thanks a lot. I would like to see this waterbody in its pristine state with clean water, waterbirds and young children boating and swimming here someday. That's my small wish. It is not a big task. My daily grind(job) doesn't provide me adequate time and resources to do it. May be, I will definitely take it up some day. Unfortunately, this place is some 1000km from the place where i presently reside. I have full confidence and hope that one day, this will definately be a beautiful waterbody.....

Look at all the plastic, garbage, junk thrown in that beautiful lake turning into a garbage dump, people need to be fined for throwing garbage. There is a lot of money to be made in recycling ♻️ plastics, metal, by sorting from the very beginning. Each household needs to separate out recyclables from compostable garbage. Municipalities need to collect once a week from each house and recycle ♻️. Someone setup a company to do all this.

Yes...On a standalone basis, we Indians woefully lack a sense of maintaining cleanliness at ancient historical monuments like Forts, Caves, Palaces, Statues, Stepwells or in the vicinity of museums which have a rich cultural history of our country. The warnings/ appeals made by local authorities to keep the surroundings neat and clean are openly violated by tourists and local residents alike. Magnificient monuments of bygone eras are vandalised with graffitti and exquitively carved idols are disfigured and pillars bear evidence of malafide damage. It is a pity that these valuable artefacts are exposed to human vandalism without adequate security around them..

It’s not the people. It is their leaders. No vision. also archeological survey of India is responsible. This is a world class monument. The gov should create an atmosphere where Indian and other tourists will visit. Tourists spend money. Local people will benefit.

Thank God, the village people have at least maintained the Temple and the premises spic and span. It is really pathetic to see the condition of waterbodies and cave temple. They must have been using waterbodies till independence. After independence, gradually government has been supplying water through taps and also dug borewells. Naturally, people have abandoned them. Lack of heritage-sense and, in some cases, poverty, are the reason for such callous attitude.
@Just_forfun91402 жыл бұрын
Just imagine how much effort the ancestors put in to create this marvelous temple with what must have been beautiful surroundings back then. What do descendents do, make the place dirty, no guilty feelings.

Local population has no respect for the temple, the temple water body. If they have polluted it like this though it is Shambhunath temple then people are wretched. ASI might have not come there for protection. The Panchayat has no interest in up keeping of our ancient architecture

Children need to be trained to preserve and maintain the cleanliness in temple heritage. Otherwise we see at many temples cleanliness is at stake and children engrave their names.

"Are we the dirtiest people on the planet?" You ask, the answer is YES. People throw garbage anywhere they like, because there are no dustbins, and no system setup by municipalities to pickup garbage and recycle, not burn. Fine people for throwing garbage, they need to take with them any garbage they make. Destroyed beautiful surroundings by garbage, shameful.
