2 "Dark Angel" November 11, 1972

5 "The Tide" February 1, 1973

6 "The Soul Is the Warrior" February 8, 1973

7 "Nine Lives" February 15, 1973

10 "Alethea" March 15, 1973
Jodie Foster guest-stars as a young girl Caine befriends, whose eyewitness testimony leads to the priest being tried for murder… and sentenced to death by hanging.
11 "The Praying Mantis Kills" March 22, 1973
Murderous thugs come looking for Caine after he identifies them as perpetrators of a bank robbery. A youth's ideas of what it means to be a man are challenged by Caine's quiet heroics.

13 "The Stone" April 12, 1973
A Brazilian skilled in the capoeira fighting style of his homeland accuses Caine of stealing a diamond. Street urchins offer Caine their savings of $4.08 if he'll kill an Armenian saloon piano player who jilted their mother.
14 "The Third Man" April 26, 1973

Im a 90s kid and Im not jealous at any kids growing up after my gen especially the 2010s and 2020s. But damn I always think the 70s and 80s were such awesome times in terms of media. So many good films, tv shows and music. I watched this show in the 90s on reruns but I cant imagine how crazy it was to watch this shows to that time. Same for Star Wars - A New Hope.

Then you need to really thank Bruce Lee. It was his idea and his plots that they ran with. He was about to even star in it until Mgt felt he was too Chinese looking for the role ( 1960’s Chinese were looked down upon) Hence, they held auditions behind Bruce’s Back and he was informed after getting ready to start film production that they had a change of plans - they will follow the same script (without paying royalties) For writing the first 5-6 scripts and further advises him That they went with David Carradine instead of him. Messed up.

Yes he was all that. He impressed me in this series how in one scene they kept him jailed in a small dark cave like and was punishing him for about a week, and I think without food, and he fit himself in that very small space with his legs cross style, and did his breath control which probably took his mind elsewhere, like he was on an island, in Hawaii. After 7days, when they opened that cave hole open, they probably thought he would be dead, but came out looking better than them. Loved it, because I know there are ppl in that field that can actually do that, even Caine

My late dad was an amatuer boxer during the 40's and loved this show so much that he enrolled me in Kung Fu school under Ark Yuey Wong in L.A. in the 70's. I settled a score with a large bully by a snap kick to his ball sack and quickly disappeared before the principal showed up.

(first scene/chain) This was one of my favorite t.v. series to watch when I was a teenager. Notice how Caine doesn't go for the kill when his opponent is down in this particular scene? He simply defeats his enemy and goes on his way. Cruelty and malice is cowardly IMHO and only leads to more conflict in most situations.

The actor with the chain is William Smith. He performed in almost 300 movies and TV shows, usually as the bad guy. He spoke 5 languages , one of which was Russian that he earned a PHD in . He served in the US Airforce during the Korean War. He was an arm wrestler, body builder , boxer and weightlifter. There is more but you should just look him up. Apparently he was also a very nice guy.

@@storminboy According to Bruce Lee's widow, Linda Lee Cadwell, Lee originated the concept, and was intended to star in the series, but David Carradine was cast because the network felt the American audience was not ready for an Asian actor as the lead, and Lee received no credit for his concept.
