I've never thought of a reverse grip on a fan, but it makes so much sense! Thank you for sharing this form, it's a treasure.

The movements during 00:19 - 00:24 remind me of a Chinese Broadsword form that I know. Chambering the Fan behind your back is also something I’ve done with a Broadsword, usually during a crescent kick. Incredible posture and balance. You always exhibit such a compelling marriage between grace and lethality 🙏🏼

You are a grandmaster of your own fan style sence you created it.

Oh man, I am far from it. This is only a short form of movements from a long established system. It’s not a new style, just a different arrangement of techniques. I’m just a teacher sharing some techniques 😅

That's a pretty fan form indeed! Im not a kung fu teacher even though I know choy Li fut master level styles as the dragon and tiger form, I knew the choy li fut 5 animal form (Ng Ying Kuen) I learnt it from watching master don tittle I completed it until i twisted my right ankle which hasn't fully healed yet. I believe in spiritual insight and creativity in kung fu by following your gut feelings a.k.a. emotional content like Bruce Lee did, moreover he proved people wrong. Hahaha! Yeah! I enjoy proving people wrong when they say! I can't, but i can. I do kung fu research like a master.

Yeah, what happened to Choy Lei Futt Kungfu? It's use to be very popular in Hong Kong action movies or was it just movie trends from styles to styles?
@SifuKuttel2 жыл бұрын
I think cinema has a lot to do with which style is popular. I got into kung fu because of Bruce Lee and just happened to sign up at a Choy Li Fut school (I didn't even know that was the actual style for a couple of months). I think Wing Chun is by far the most popular kung fu style outside of China right now due to the Ip Man movies, so we'll see which art gets boosted next.

@@SifuKuttel Yeah, don't know why they are pushing so hard on WingChun in the cinema lately, it's not as flashy as LongFist or Shoalin styles to watch, and lastly Choy Lei Futt is mostly used in stage opera of course it looks great but going extinct. It's good you are keeping this style alive, people don't know what they missing till it's gone.
