I must say nothing wrong with all the techniques, it is practical or can be foolish too, street fights or survival real fights must firstly acquire the necessary courage and experience, without it no technique can help, better run.

Nothing is useful, unless you have a way to train your reflexes to be lightning fast. Everything needs a lot of practice to have that muscle memory.

just watched the kick defense video and had some issue with the "catch the kick" idea. Same with this that X block idea is great for a dojo or teaching kids at a "day care " martial arts school. But in real life blocking not only doesn't work but no one really does it either. Even if you could or would block (don't know why but that's just me) the chance of catching a real punch thrown at you is rare, don't see most people doing it, realistically. Wasn't a big fan of the kicking video but I saw more realism in that video, if you could get lucky and actually catch the kick. This one is less real, in my personal view. But like I always say anything works if it works. Maybe this guy could pull it off, I don't know. Just not my cup of tea. But beyond that I did enjoy watching
@ihategoogle88932 жыл бұрын
I hear what you are saying. Not taking anything away from this masters teaching, but a real life situation is so much different from an anticipated demonstration. I'm sure blocking attacks is probably the most difficult thing in martial arts, I believe a strong offence is probably the best way to defeat an opponent.

Seem like critics forget all trainings start slowly. Real street defender playing chess not checkers. Don't forget the defender setting up to execute. Everyone knows no such thing as a slow motion fight. Come on really?
