Wooden flutes create a more whole and richer sound than flutes carved from precious metals.

You are amazing, i would like to buy this but it's a little bit expensive...

Well when you think about how much a western flute is 600 and plus it not so expensive. And it sounds so beautiful too
@browniecharles694710 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's true but it's a stick of bamboo with four holes in it... and it souns beautiful! ;)
@ashleynorman312910 жыл бұрын
Well someone took there time to craft it. And for a stick of bamboo it pretty awesome haha. I want this one too. :)

Hi Kevin: I have sold kids flutes in Argentina for 10 cents by a bus stop. 25 cents by a beach in Guatemala. Too bad we did not meet then. $3.00 on the streets of San Fransisco in 1974. $10 at Renaissance festivals in the early 1980's. There is a shakuhachi tonight on ebay selling for $8,999.00 One thing i have learned is everyone has something to say. Kind regards, Erik

Hi Erik. That caption was kind of meant to be an ironic joke actually. I noticed after watching many of your KZbin videos that a few people do seem to comment on what they obviously see as too high prices. It was a playful 'dig' at those blessed folk who complain in possibly some ignorance. I have just ordered the end blown Oriental flute, opting to buy from you direct rather than a side blown flute from the shop you pointed out in the Netherlands. That European option would have saved me the customs cost but I wanted to have an instrument that had come directly from you rather than through a third party. Music transcends cost. You do have to know your financial limits obviously, but I sense your instruments will be considered very reasonable to buy in years to come - considering the quality of their sound and craftsmanship. No offence was intended. I do have a strange sense of humor!

Nice to know you are a friend. I understand some countries pay too little money to afford flutes from the USA. So not affording a flute here is understandable. Many speak from their perspective forgetting other's realities. Glad we can serve you with our whole heart. Erik

@@ErikTheFlutemakerCom Peace to you. With the political mess we're in here the sublime pleasure of playing one of your flutes will be a pure joy to lift one out of the fog of confusion. Blessings in Him. K

You should put which flute you're playing in the description along with a link to where we can buy one on your website.

Beautiful playing on a beautiful instrument. I have a technical question for you: Were you actually recording while walking around? And, if so, how? (i.e. what kind of equipment)
@ErikTheFlutemakerCom8 жыл бұрын
Yes, I was walking and improvising. Joshua Miller of C&I Studios filmed and edited it. Not sure what he used. Erik

Okay, so you had some serious professional help. It sounded so good, I was wondering if the audio had been done in a studio and then you were 'miming' in the video. Very nice.
