@Call-me-Al5 жыл бұрын
I agree, though I do have to make sure that you know being a city dweller doesn't automatically mean you're ignorant. I prefer living in cities, but I'm well aware of how nature works. My grandmother was a farmer while she lived, and as a kid me and my siblings spent a lot of summers there
@marcycarson21305 жыл бұрын
@@Call-me-Al It sounds like you had a wonderful Grandmother and a good childhood. Yes, I do understand the difference. I'm also aware of the vast differences between those who live in the Hood, the middle class city dwellers and even those who live in Rural and Wilderness areas. The differences are vast. Most children don't have Grandparents who live on farms and these kids don't have the slightest idea where 'meat' comes from, nor have they tended a garden all summer long and reaped the harvest. These kids who grow into adulthood without knowing what 'reality' is.... live their lives in ignorance. Being a Voter here in the USA has a few rules.... one of the biggest rules is having the ability to make informed choices. So, take a look at the Aug. 1 - 4 National Democratic Socialist Convention, earlier this month. After only a few minutes you can clearly see how very out of touch with reality these misled and manipulated kids have become. You are commenting here... where The Mink Man was raised in the country and who follows the rules of nature, obviously, you learned some of nature's rules in the summers at your Grandmothers house when you were a child. You aren't whining any of the faddish leftist ignorance... which many of the youth of this nation are so ignorantly enamored. So, I'd say your summers as a Child were a very positive and a reality serving experience for you. Thanks for sharing! Onward to Success!

@@marcycarson2130 well, had I been an American I definitely had been voting left/independent. Nature is both cruel and beautiful, being into nature conservation (which is very common for lefties here) doesn't mean you think lions eat hay and that we should eat hay too :D
@marcycarson21305 жыл бұрын
@@Call-me-Al You may find this shocking... but, Conservatives are also very big on nature conservation. You seem to be a little confused and motivated.... not to understand this conversation, but to argue about anything you can. You know, despite the focus on petty disputes, the faddish political propaganda insanity being pushed on us all, and the focus on materialism and ego, the VAST majority of American Citizens are far more mature and level headed, independent patient and problem solving than... (once again) the political propaganda pushing media wants you to believe. I am an American Citizen. I'm also a tribal member of the Cherokee Nation. We American Citizens are far more conscious and self responsible than the current political propaganda would have you believe. Take a look at The Mink Man, he is a beautiful example of independence and living in harmony with nature! Surely, the political propaganda that was pushed on the Russians by the Bolsheviks, 100 years ago and the political propaganda pushed on Germany, Poland, etc... by the Third Reich, Surely this part of our shared world history has made Europeans aware of what follows after the political propaganda is successful? Hopefully, you all haven't forgotten. You live somewhere in Europe? You guys have some horrible problems now. What are you all doing to resolve the problems.... besides supporting the ' crime ' of someone/anyone saying something you don't like?
@Call-me-Al5 жыл бұрын
@@marcycarson2130 conservatives used to be, but currently the lead US conservative party is pretty hot on reducing protection for the environment. The currently most powerful US conservatives aren't what they used to be in e.g. 1950s. I love this channel and have followed it for some time, the US politics are just always so weird and messed up to see referred to, because there's such a huge artificial divide. By the way, your leftists are our centrists :P Regarding the problems we have, I strongly suggest you check out www.nytimes.com/2019/08/10/world/europe/sweden-immigration-nationalism.html because it's pretty true in my experience. I should add that several of the issues that put a strain on the system before the immigration wave was from several gov services being sold off for profit a decade ago. Also see www.thelocal.se/20170221/why-sweden-is-not-the-rape-capital-of-the-world You guys (Americans, both democrats and republicans) keep having such a weird relationship to Europe. As a very young child I grew up with the tv stereotype of Alex P. Keaton regarding US conservatives, and seeing the rise of the tea party and worse has been pretty jarring especially with those childish preconceived notions of what a conservative could be. Your mention of propaganda is pretty jarring, as it almost seems like a joke. Even my own grandmother's family suffered badly because of communists and Nazis and this isn't as far removed from our living memory as it seems yours. Look up the Russian playbook 'Foundations of Geopolitics'. There are a lot of active efforts for them to become a global super power. China's working on it too. The Mink man is a joy to watch working, but the issue between you and your leftists is a problem of urbanisation and alienation from nature, not the ideals usually associated with your leftists (which, as I said, are our centrists).

I admire you for raising an animal most like to turn into clothing. I like that you make them hunt for food instead of buying them "mass produced" rats to eat as well. It helps the farm rats and teaches your minks the value of food. I also never knew a mink was so strong, the remind me of a leopard with their kill bite and ability to carry around such heavy prey.

Mink, weasels, ferrets and pretty much any member of the Mustelid family are extremely strong for their size ratio. Considering stoats and weasels can tackle a rabbit 2-3 times their size and wolverines won't hesitate to drive a grizzly off it's own kill so the wolverine can steal it. They're voracious, fearless little beasties and I love them

Nope it's a muskrat, in fact muskrats are not rats at all, muskrats are the largest rodents classified within the hamster family.
