The interesting part is Shen trying to run from his destiny for his whole life but in the last second instead of running he closed his eyes and accepted the death basically he did all of that to himself. Best villain

The scene where Poe finally accepts what happened to him and his village is perhaps one of the greatest pieces of drama, storytelling, and music in the history of animation. It's up there with the first 10 minutes of Up.

Well, the only big fact about this movie was that it came out the exact same weekend as The Hangover Part II. And apparently at the box office, Hangover 2 completely beat Kung Fu Panda 2, despite Hangover 2 being absolutely terrible. At least one thing is for sure: this movie is way better than Hangover Part II.

This one is my favorite of the three in no small part because of Shen/Gary Oldman. The character is such a top class villain and he plays it so well. Also having Michelle Yeo as a GOAT. Amazing!

I think what makes Shen intimidating is his instability. Tai Lung was just angry and felt betrayed, but he wasn't exactly insane. Just selfish. Shen, meanwhile, massacred all the pandas just to prevent them from stopping him, and an unstable psyche makes Shen unpredictable in how far he'll go, whereas with Tai Lung you knew exactly what he would do. I found Tai Lung scary because of strength, but Shen is crafty and cunning and seems to lack any morals at all. And we all know what can happen with traits like that.

even at the end, he didn't choose to attack po but cutting ropes in a way that shows like he is attacking. he rather end it than let it go....he is tragic character too. parallel to po. he chose all wrong choices

This movie is a lot deeper than the first, and that's because it has a much deeper plot a much darker plot and better action scenes overall, with a surprise ending. The first movie was more of a kids movie.
