What a match! I never get tired of watching. Giant killer Wawrinka alone was capable of derailing prime Djokovic in slams. He got 2 slam finals 2 slam semifinals against champion Nole. What a superb backhand Wawrinka had. Omg

Never get tired of watching Wawrinka (or anyone) beat Djokovic! Especially, this version of Wawrinka was incredible to watch. I think I'll watch their 2016 US Open Final after I finish watching this great final.

@@stevenmichael4990 thank you for appreciating the GOAT, but to say you love how Wawrinka beats him is disrespectful especially when you see their H2H (which is also ridiculous) Maybe you should watch the 2014 AO Final as well

@@UltraInstinctGoku69I don't see how I'm disrespectful of Novak Djokovic. Like he really cares what we think of him. He's great. The ATP tour is weak, unfortunately. I just want to see more entertaining competition. More compelling rivalries.

What a match and a very deserving win by Stan! Based on the 3-0 and 0-40 Novak had in the 4th set, it's criminal that this match did not go to a 5th set.

The umpiring error in the 1st set in the 10th game cost Stan the 1st set. It should have been over in 3 sets

When Stan was in a good state of mind and didn't have an injury affecting him, he sure was a gracious and powerful BEAST!! He was as gracious as Federer, if not even more. I find Stan had a much more powerful ground strokes than Federer, especially on the backhand. His release also seemed much more fluid than Federer or Gasquet when he was in control of his shots. With his relentless footwork, big heavy forehands and the most gracious and powerful one-handed backhands, he was a JOY to watch. He had it all... What a MONSTER he was becoming when he was playing at his very best during his prime!
@shrirajmukherjeeАй бұрын
Wouldn't say more fluid than Roger or Richard, but definitely more powerful than them from way behind the baseline. Stanimal is a very accurate nickname for him (given by Fed).

In both of Novak's best years, when he was the favourite to win the French - 2011, 2015 - he was stopped by 2 Swiss players, both 1handedBHs, both underdogs, who weren't expected to win. Not by a long shot. Incredible.
