Even in video this dial is so reflective… The ones with AR coating are also reflective. Because of that domed shape, which I feel for a minimalist watch like this was not necessary

what did the upgrade for the dial cost?

I believe it was around 30-40USD. I just checked the official website and it seems all new watches will come with the upgraded dial.

13.5 mm seems to be too thick. Does it wear tall?

Physically, it does. However, as around 2mm of that height is from the domed mineral crystal, plus the fact that the watch itself is quite light, it's not noticeable on the wrist. I'd recommend the sapphire glass if you want something a bit slimmer.

They do have bronze version that with a brushed finish. As for a brushed steel case, I reckon you should drop a message on their socials (e.g. instagram). They may start offering a brushed case if enough people ask for it 😉.

I don’t understand why a sapphire crystal upgrade costs over $100 dollars. I think these are cool watches but are a bit overpriced considering what’s on offer.

I agree. I think the sapphire upgrade could have been a bit cheaper. As for the overall cost, I think it's fair for the design and quality.
