He can use emporer time against anyone. Chain jail is tye only ability that is specifically made for the spiders and the only ability that is limited to then because of a nen vow. Kurapika is genuinely one of the strongest characters in the series, so Hisoka definitelt does not stomp or even win low or mid diff, its a high to extreme diff fight for him minimum.

Ngl this is heavilly overestimating hisoka's attack potency and general raw stats. Uvogin, a literal enhancer, himself was casually tanking artillery fire with his palm and a fully powered up uvogin couldn't put kurapika down (which kura healed anyways) Also ngl, using Gon as an example of trickery is kinda counterintuitive since gon is especially naive. Even more so when considering that kurapika essentially mastered nen in only 6 months and has alot of intellegence feats within the latest arc

Hisokas raw strength is definitely no joke still, his whole style is based off of his physical attributes, his ranking in the spiders and his strength combined with bungee gum is dangerous . The damage output he dished out with the head when he was fighting chrollo was intense

@ydpark8383 the thing that destroyed kurapikas arm wasn't a "casual punch", it was his hatsu "Big Bang Impact", his strongest attack it was listed as having the strength of a small missile, and disintegrated people without even a direct hit Kurapika ate that, with only a broken arm, which he healed in 3 seconds. Also hisoka got washed by Chrollo, he vastly underestimated the Chairman. After seeing the chairman fight, there's no way Hisoka could compete. He was struggling against 100 people trying to grab him. Vs a hundred Budda arms hitting at 0.1s, up to a 1000x per minute? Cmon be real. Hisoka just thinks he can figure out a way to beat anyone, and was taught a lesson vs Chrollo

Stealth dolphin is his oppsy late fix in giving him a potential hail marry. But the binding vow you're talking about is only powerful because he can ONLY use it with the phantom trope. I wanna say his dealing one and the flail one is the one he doesn't need a requirement to use. Healing one too if I remember because some are only relevant via employer time

I think this video disturbingly downplays the boosts from Hisoka’s invocation of postmortem Nen. Chrollo can still use Sun/Moon because of its postmortem status and it got a PM boost. Emperor Time can be used against anyone. It's been explained on the Whale Boat he added on to the Nen Contract that as long as he's in emperor time he can activate it at will in exchange for expending his life force. Every second in emperor time is 1 hour given up, Chain Jail is meant to be used against the spiders only, forcing them into a state of Zetsu. Dolphin chain can be used against anybody and it slowly depletes the nen from a target, to which if they run out, are also forced into a state of zetsu.

Kurapika would lose pretty easily, he even admitted his own abilities are not very useful for combat. Hxh and the nen power system is not about fighting only. Many characters have great abilities that they CAN fight with, but they are not necessarily the greatest fighters such as Morel (by his own admission). Togashi really has yet to have an arc showcasing great warrior nen users constantly. He has mostly shown unique and versatile abilities like morel, knov, knuckle, bisky etc. I think when certain zodiacs get to showcase what they do, we will see that the main guys are still pretty weak compared to the top fighters in the verse.

Split soul Katana(SSK) needs to actually penetrate to be effective. It also has no enhancement to make piercing easier. It also doesnt kill you with a single hit, only prevents soul based healing methods and damages soul based opponents. It would likely be no more effective than a regular blade against uvo. He has no way to heal himself from normal damage(just great defense) so a lethal hit would be lethal with or without SSK. His nen armor would treat it the same as a normal blade either stopping it or not based entirely on the force behind it. We're you thinking of Inverted spear of heaven? This would negate uvos nen reinforcements and allow him to be sliced up like fresh bread.

Love the video, a fight between Kurapika and Hisoka is cool and based on who can lay the best trap or just get the 1 up on the other. I just think that Kurapika may have a good chance against Hisoka as his strength (unless Hisoka hid it one that list) should be much stronger than Hisoka’s. Allowing for a miss placed bungee gum to be used like a rope and pull Hisoka in before he may release it. Making Hisoka have to think much more before possibly attaching his bungee gum to Kurapika like he did to Gon. I do think Hisoka would win though as he has had more time seen fighting in the Manga and we know how creative he can be. Whereas we only really see Kurapika’s creativity in a fight against Uvogin where he could use ALL of his abilities including chain jail. As well as not really having to try on a creative level.

I also just realized that his will to stay alive also influenced the post mortem like how with Pitou and their will to protect Meruem was so powerful that after death their nen was still active and made Pitou stronger difference is Hisoka was protecting his heart (which now that in writing this I’m pretty sure it wasn’t actually a vow) meaning that post mortem activated but he was prepared for it so he got the power boost and got to stay alive on top of it

@@encelade. I don't mean to be a contrarian, but what happened with Hisoka's vow is not regeneration. His heart wasn't damaged. His heart was forcefully restarted by his Hatsu to bring himself back to life, because if your heart stops pumping, you die. Hisoka died via suffocation and that long without air will cause your brain to lose a healthy oxygen supply and shut down, thus shutting off your heart. His 'regeneration' ability is just an enhanced version of his texture surprise. He can now conjure(?) Whole body parts with his Nen. The interpetation is interesting though.

Steal chain has to be one of the most overrated abilities in HxH. People act like it's a better version of chain jail despite it having no feats that prove its viability in combat. The only time it's used in combat was against someone much weaker and distracted. Judgement chain on the other hand hasn't even been used on a target that is defending themselves. Both abilities are seemingly designed to pair well with chain jail, but that's not an option against Hisoka, so with the feats he has shown Kurapika has no viable win conditions.

I dont think your giving Kurapika enough credit. He is something else we havent seen before and when he made his debut onto the battlefield with nen he became a beast. There is nothing stating that Kurapikas ability is limited to one hand. He just keeps it on one hand to fool his enemies. And Hisoka is strong but In emperor time Kurapika is just gonna be stronger and faster due to being an enhancer.

Kurapika is insanely powerful especially in the current manga. So obviously. Kurapika wins easily against the troupe if they encounter him. Because kurapika is now netero level if he activates emperor time The reason I'm saying this Is because there weren't any hints leading in yorknew city that kurapika made it that his emperor time take 1 hour of his life every second. That was only said and told about in the succession war arc. So remember that. Unless you want to imply that kurapika got a shit boost out of nowhere.

Cutting off kurapika's hand isn't a surefire way of ending the fight. As he's always changing the length of the chains throughout a fight (They are conjured and it is never stated that cannot make new ones). Not to mention, when using emperor time, his manipulation and enhancment are at a hundred percent. So he could catch hisoka off gaurd should with the steal chain whilst he thinks he has the upper hand or just heal his arm from a distance and continue the fight with a brand new conjured set of chains and arm not tied down by bungeegum.

You’re giving Hisoka waaaaay too much credit and not giving Kurapika enough. Starting off with strength Kurapika would be way stronger than hisoka physically and faster even if you wanted to barely put Kurapika over hisoka as soon as kurapika activates emperor time hisoka would start getting overwhelmed. You give too much credit to bungee gum as kurapika is such a genius he’d most likely easily be able to see it even if hisoka tried hiding it or Camouflaging it. Hisoka’s cards also most likely wouldn’t work seeing how durable kurapika is and his nen mastery only adding to his durability he would be able to block his cards. Leaving hisoka no other choice but to fight up close and that’s where he loses.

hisoka is extremely versatile when it comes to his use of bungee gum.. and he does not necessarily need to fight in close combat as shown with his feats of being able to use his bungee gum to create and deflect projectiles with the use of it.. and after his post mortem nen his bungee gum has gotten way stronger and more versatile.. it's not as cut and dry as it seems .. and his heart is not being pumped by his nen.. it just basically kickstarted it back to beating so it's not a one shot kill as he explains it ... but yes physically speaking kurapika is stronger than hisoka so in close combat it is in favour of kurapika when it comes to AP.. but his kit is very limited and mainly revolves around his chains hence i still say hisoka takes the win most of the time.

No way you brought up hisoka losing to chrollos fullproof plan as him being weak. Terrorsandwich has insane potential, but at the moment he is not a top tier. Kurapika is extremely smart but definitely not smarter than hisoka by a noticeable margin. The physical differences with the speed amp from the bungee gum limb would be too much.
