The only one at the time during his time who could possibly better him (yes I know kurt won gold in 1996 olympics) and I’m talking purely wrestling minus storylines promos etc was Chris Benoit Ps with all due respect this is just my opinion along with some others who have and still follow wrestling closely. Yeah it really looked like they were giving Too Cool a huge push in 2000 during the McMahon-Helmsley regime. Teaming with Rock, Rikishi, and Cactus Jack to take on DX Shane McMahon and Big Show leading up to Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 2000. Scotty got the light Heavyweight Title of of Malenko (only held it for about a week) and they both got the tag titles and held them for a good minute. That was Too Cool. But then their it stopped. Which wasn't Too Cool. I don't know why but if I had a guess it was likely do to Sexay failing a drug test or something but I don't know.

WWE completely dropped the ball with Taz. He had so much momentum coming out of ECW, and even though he was small in stature, it never mattered in ECW when he fought guys bigger than him.
