tl; dr: your video is fantastic & I personally love Kurt! One, this is a TOTALLY AWESOME video. Like one I’ll watch over & over & over again!!! Two, bc the writers Benjamin Buttoned Blaine’s age, he was either 15 or 16 when he sang WIGYA during the Gap attack- that changes it from weirdo stalker to WTF? He shouldn’t even be singing this song. (IMO). Three, Kurt’s dislike of Red Solo Cup was really funny but I LOVED that song. Don’t know why. Really catchy! Four, please, INRBIO - Kurt’s in the wrong? Kurt, who flirted online w a boy for all of 2-3 days compared to Blaine, who flirted (family friendly? Sebastian?!! I laugh bc it’s so stupid. The man who changes partners every 20 minutes? My ass “family friendly”) w Seb for (I believe) 5 months, altho it might have been 4 or 4.5. Knowing for a fact that Seb insulted Kurt in front of him, when he was gone (Kurt’s verbal) & that it bothered Kurt a whole hell of a lot. So the fact that he continued to do this is apparently just a prelude to the fact that less than a year from now, Blaine won’t be texting another guy, he’ll be sleeping w him instead. But returning for a moment to INRBIO. Yes, of course Kurt shouldn’t have been trading flirty texts w another guy. But, for real, his BF had been ghosting him, doing his best to not spend time together bc “soon they wouldn’t have time to be together”. I won’t even. Where was I? Five, during Only the Good Die Young (which I love and is so sad in retrospect ) one of the recappers (from TWOP) said something about Kurt on his phone calling Americans United for the Separation of Church and State. (You know, Santana also sings If I Die Young & if you think of a song that Finn sings that somehow foreshadows his death, I’ll think that Glee was beyond spooky and possibly need to stop watching.) I kid. I could never not watch Glee or at the very least listen to the music. It was my life for 6 years and I honestly loved CC for all of that time. Oh yes. Misery & WIGYA. Kurt’s facial expressions are so perfect. He doesn’t have to say a word to let the audience know how he’s feeling. And while I personally feel Blaine was already in love w Kurt but didn’t realize it consciously, I adore the fact that Blaine falls head over heels when Kurt finally snaps out of his depression & starts acting like himself. With the sarcastic comments & the actual Kurt clothing & (well, Blaine had already seen this) but the dreamy, wondrous Kurt voice, most esp’ly when singing Beatles songs! I will stop talking now. So sorry. I kept taking stuff away (seriously, I started a spiel re Kurt’s relationships and why he never felt comfortable in them as well as a whole thing about Finn and Kurt so. Really, it could have been much worse.) I truly truly loved the video. So many of those special Kurt moments. Those sunglasses were precious and Mr Schue clearly lost his mind, singing that verse of Bust a Move to Kurt. (I ended up hating Schue.) But I loved loved loved this video, which I stopped like five million times so I could read everything you said. I agreed w most of it, but I hadn’t thought of the things you put in during Don’t You Love Me and that was perfection. As spoken by Chandler Bing. 🥰🥰🥰

Oh my god I LOVE YOU thank u so much for the comment! Firstly, honestly that’s why I find the gap attack not creepy and more delightfully cringey is because he’s supposed to be young! Not with the casting, no, but around that scene it’s really hammed up in the dialogue just how naive he is. “If we get married I’d get a discount” and such) That’s why the guy rejects him in the end too! And I already talked about this in a different reply but I am on Blaine’s side for INRBIO. For me texting like that is cheating, just being in company with a person your partner doesn’t like is not. Blaine never even outwardly flirted with Seb. To me that’s all that needs to be said of that. You’re free to think otherwise but I’m firm in my stance. Oh yeah, I Looove how Blaine really falls in love/realizes his feelings when Kurt is at his Kurt-est. That was brilliant on their part. And I cannot believe there isn’t more fandom stuff about Kurt during Don’t you want me! You can SEE the murder in his eyes, but also subtle resignation almost? The like 2 seconds we see of him during that are so so so important to me. Also I can just see Kurt driving Blaine to his place while Blaine murmurs absolute nonsense (and if we’re still on that “he just didn’t realize he was in love” theory) and lovey-dicey stuff on how great kids hair smells and how lovely the red shirt is on him. And yes, Blaine was supposed to come off young and naive in the face of Jeremiah getting fired. (Altho CCs really late puberty hadn’t truly hit enough at that point to make him appear anything but younger than Blaine. I was willing to accept “same age” but when they they put Blaine back a year (so he could continue singing many many songs every week bc he was super talented) I just didn’t buy it. Just like Finn & Puck & Mike totally no longer appearing even slightly like they were teenagers by that point in time (they were so clearly in their 20s [actually 30s for 2 of them I believe]) that it was almost laughable, except that those VA ppl before Jonathan Groff appeared (*heavy sigh*) looked like they were in their 30s at least). Had to cut that sentence off bc I am sick & ridiculously tired at 8:22pm. So I can’t even attempt to fix sentences anymore. Where was I? Oh yes. No matter what they did and how young Blaine attempted to act, he LOOKED (IMPO) older than Kurt from the very beginning, and there wasn’t any way to make an audience suddenly believe he was younger. Again, IMO. And I completely agree to disagree re the texting scene, but I’d suggest (nicely 🥰) that you rewatch that scene one more time bc Kurt specifically says Blaine was texting w Seb for those five months. Not spending time w him at the Lima Bean. The two of them were talking on the phone and texting for close to half a year and Blaine knew it upset Kurt and yet he continued to do it until the fatal slushy attack. (Which I found amusing just bc I’ve had eye surgery four times in my life and never once did I have to spend days, WEEKS in bed. Yes, you have to recover & of course this was just a pretext so DC could star on Broadway, but I felt the writers could have come up w something more believable. The writers let me down so many many times. 😢) But my point is that if you truly believe that texting another boy is cheating than Blaine was cheating, and for a much longer period of time. And he can say all those texts were “family friendly “ which is what I was referring to, but I (personally) think that was a bunch of BS. Not on Blaine’s end. On Seb’s. Bc the audience was not led to believe that Seb understood the term “family friendly” let alone abided by it while texting with a boy he wanted to sleep with. He wasn’t coy about it. So come on. Let’s get real. If Sebastian had no trouble talking about how he wanted to sleep with Blaine in front of Kurt, what on earth would lead anybody to believe that he would exchange “Disney-esque” texts w Blaine when Kurt wasn’t around and it was just the two of them? You, of course, can believe whatever you wish. I never said it was right for Kurt to exchange flirty texts with another boy. But I could understand what led up to him doing it. And it occurred, as mentioned, for all of three days. Blaine in the meantime had been ignoring Kurt for months, not spending time together, deliberately pushing him away, not being physical with him, and as he told Rachel, he felt they were experiencing “Lesbian bed death” which truly sounds awful. It sounded to me as if Blaine was completely neglecting Kurt - on purpose, mind you - bc he was so upset that he wouldn’t be together w him next year. I would explain how stupid Blaine was acting except then I would have to add Burt to this (since he was doing the exact same thing) and I don’t wish to say anything of the sort about Burt. So, bottom line, yes Kurt did something wrong. For a couple of days. Bc he was so incredibly lonely as his actual BF (as mentioned) was ghosting him & his father was as well. What, precisely, was wrong that caused Blaine to text and phone Sebastian for five months? I don’t recall there being anything wrong, other than Finn’s jealous attitude towards him & that in no way stopped him from discussing it w Kurt. In fact, we heard him discussing it with Kurt. So, really, what was Blaine’s deal? And THAT is why I’m not upset with Kurt and find Blaine’s attitude ridiculous and totally insane, since he not only did the same thing, he did it for a far longer period of time and for no forking reason that I can come up with. Again, he KNEW just his being friendly with Sebastian upset Kurt, esp’ly after that night at Scandals. So what in hell was he doing? And why? What made it necessary? Didn’t he have enough friends from Dalton that he didn’t need to ADD Sebastian? It’s beyond baffling. Anyhoo, that’s a fuller explanation but I do agree that texting is cheating. I said Kurt was wrong in the original text. I guess I didn’t explain it well. And you can of course still disagree. But I’m unclear as to why. I mean, even if (as we both said) Kurt was wrong, why wasn’t Blaine? I promise you I can do the dialogue from the pilot to the end of Glee (except, perhaps, for the shows in which Kurt wasn’t present and Blaine either). Go back and watch that scene. It was really clear what they said. And I don’t want you to think I made it up. And by the by, I still adore your video and just can’t stop myself from discussing something that has to do w Kurt. I promise I’m going to sleep now. Honest. Pinky swear. 🥰🥰
