This is life-changing beauty... I discovered this just five days ago, on the video of Herr Moll's live performance in 1972. I have no words to describe this except to say that it is a great privilege to be alive and have access to still hear this glorious voice, in this glorious music...

If God exists, he has Kurt Moll's voice. That would be the sound to be heard when entering the paradise...I feel like being up there just now!

So beautiful it has moved me to tears. There are some very good basses out there but there is something really special about Kurt Moll. What an inspiration.

Kurt Moll was a genius - God rest him. A superb singer, actor and teacher. Strauss was also a genius. Who else would end an opera with an aria beginning: How beautiful is music, especially when it has ended! A magnificent memorial to perhaps the greatest of all basses.

This is astounding, thanks for posting. His voice is solid and alive, all throughout his entire range. He has the strength that few basses have to do the notes above middle C like he does. What a great singer!!

So true, not to forget Zweig's contribution to the lovely music. Somehow the work seems to anticipate Zweig's so sad death [RIP].

This is why I keep coming back to this Artist; I am never disappointed. I just wish there were more video's of his performance art. He owned the part of the Baron in Der Rosenkavalier. Other's as well.

Why are tenors so much more popular than basses? I just don't understand, especially after discovering Kurt Moll.

MOROSUS beaming and leaning back in the armchair How beautiful the music is -- but how beautiful it is when it's over! He comfortably drinks a glass of wine and looks at Aminta for a long time How wonderful is a young, taciturn woman -- but how wonderful when she remains someone else's wife! How beautiful life is -- but how beautiful it is if you are not a fool and know how to live it! Ah, my good ones, great you have cured me, I've never felt so happy. . . He lights a pipe and comfortably blows the smoke in front of him Oh, I feel indescribably good. Calm down! Leaning back in the armchair gratefully clasps Aminta's and Henry's hands with his right and left . Peace and quiet! Aaah - - - Aaah - - - Aaah! - - -
