I recently subscribed to your channel because I enjoy the videos that you put out. They are very instructional. I also just started jitsu classes and I'm having difficulties with closed guard escapes. I tried the knee in butt and posture out but as soon as I move the knee to butt, my partner (who has wrestling background) shifts and repositions to avoid. Any tips?

If I understand this correctly, you have to first trap his hips and back flat on the mat, then put the knee in the butt and two hands on the belly button and posture up while applying pressure to his belly to break his closed guard it's a simple guard break , if he is shrimping to reposition his guard it isn't as strong and you will have a window to break it by trapping a leg to mat for the pass, also, if you are using the guard break I think you are -just keep doing it he will wear eventually, trust!!! its takes some serious core strength to endure this particular guard break
