A quick inspection of a power drawbar I found on ebay for 99p!

Thats pretty cool. I like the integrated air cylinder.....may have to make a change?? LOL

I quite like the design myself. The actuator block is perhaps a bit too complicated with no less than three pistons.

You call that snow? Aluminium plate cuts reasonably well on a (woodworking) circular saw, if you have one. Looks like your fence could use some mending next year...

I don't have a wood saw and I need to profile a plate. I could always take the job into work if I wanted to. The fence needed fixing two years ago! My left knee is no longer up to the task of heavy digging, so I'm waiting for a friend to have a gap in his schedule.

Is there even a trace of a tracked snow machine any wheres in the country Paul that you've seen?

There might be some in Scotland, or places like the Yorkshire moors. I don't think I've ever seen one in the metal.

Hi Paul ! I notices a huge drop in the ammount of videos on machining here on KZbin ! I too notice you in this video saying something about Facebook ... - is all that "machining-traffic" shifted to Facebook ? (I don't use FB and I never will !)

You're missing out on a lot of knowledge. Its over 5000 members with a lot of picture posts

Some people make the same video over and over. Unless it shows something new, I don't show the same job twice. To some extent there has been a natural filling up of an empty space and now a slow down.

By all means install a infrared heater out there. I have the same power draw on my bed mill. honestly they’re kind of pos but they do work. I mean really? A Chicago pneumatic butterfly impact modified? Well overpriced for sure and easy to make if it’s your thing. Personally I’d rather have a electric one if any for a threaded draw bar but on my cat 40 I wish it had pull studs instead. The other thing they are noisy and of course if your quill goes up and down must be engaged if even 1/2” down it won’t. I’ve seen some that have a far longer reach so you can run the quill down for long reach machining and it’s a pain when tool changing because of height offset. Noisy as well but it Does the job.
