I’ve seen some fans try to downplay that 52 yard TD to Jefferson because the corner had fallen and leaving Jets wide open. Never mind Darnold escaping from a collapsing pocket and throwing the ball with velocity without setting his feet 40 yds downfield.

As a Minnesota native Vikings fan were in a situation right now. Darnold has had some great games this season where he’s played like this. The cardinals game was just as impressive. Some of the throws he made were prime Rodgers type throws. Then he’s had babies where he’s been one of the worst looking quarterbacks in the league like the colts game. He’s being called the new rich Gannon. The vikes have a young really talented qb the roster they drafted named jj McCarthy. What do we do?

I just find it funny so many people are shocked a QB needed help before we saw how good he is. Same thing is currently happening with Bryce, since the TEAM sucks and a young QB can’t drag them along or put up Mahomes first yr starting type numbers fans and media automatically just say they are “bust” “they suck” blame the losses on them. Legit every time his team got better he did too(when given a real chance)

Darnold is on track to tie or break Rodger's single season record for games with 100+ passer rating. Nice to see him have a big game to get the attention, but he has been carrying this team all season.

Darnold's been doing his part for most of the season, but it's laughable to say he has been carrying the Vikes this year. Multiple games were won on the backs of the defense.

Sam has more completions, more yards, a better completion percentage, and more 100+ rating games than Lamar. Sam leads big drives when he needs to, and the Vikings have won because of him, and their losses were not because of him. What more do you want from him?

@@matthew_ferguson he has been playing good this year. I'm not denying that at all. He has played his part and he's been getting better as the season goes on. I just don't think he's been "carrying the team all season". That implies the Vikes have been winning because Darnold has playing so good all year that he's overcoming poor defense and substandard players around him or something. He has a good roster around him. A lot of the early season wins, Darnold wasn't anything more than a game manager, which was fine.
