Thanks for doing this. It's so funny to watch an actual pro QB analyze pro madden gameplay. Not to be rude, but it becomes obvious very quickly how shallow these guys understand the game of football on offense. You definitely get the exception to the rule here or there, but in general they spend more time learning how to bug out an O-lineman/defender's logic than they do actually getting well versed in all the route concepts and read progressions. It's a shame because their motor skills are so good and their minds are so quick, a lot of them are really limiting themselves by playing the game in a "checkers not chess" way.

@@DylanT lol yes, you're right. If Kurt tries to qualify for the next championship, he'll quickly realize how few real football concepts apply to madden gameplay at the highest level. Once he gets smoked a few times though (if he's willing to adapt) his ceiling is higher than most of these guys.

In my 30's - been playing madden since I can remember so I was already decent but it wasn't until this past offseason I started getting into your videos Kurt. Now I'm winning 70-80% of my online games and doing it calling plays similar to real football (which I'm sorry is way more fun than spamming one play). Once you can read offenses & defenses and understand how to beat them, the game opens up. Anyways, if you ever want to hop on the sticks and record it for a breakdown, I'm around lol. Blessings bro! No it won’t. Real football doesn’t work at the highest level of a madden video game. That dude Kurt already knows this. Because if that were true, it’s alot of guys that study the game of football religiously on a daily basis that would win in madden years ago if that were true. Madden is simply about cheese play. if nobody is in ur area and u happen to go down by catch or run from no contact, you arent down. you can get back up. so the defender had to touch him to bring him down, if not we wouldve gained more yards

Dollar defense is more of a passing defense and is vulnerable against the run in Madden it’s the complete opposite which makes no sense

Completely agree. It’s because the O-Line AI struggles to get to the second level and block the right people. It’s my single biggest pet peeve with the game, and it’s something that CFB 25 does significantly better (albeit not perfectly)

Dude, this cleff dude pissed me off on multiple occasions, so did Velus, but cleff? Nah dude, his offense was wack imo. And all of these concepts that they were running were NOT it. And then of course, the interception that he cut back inside on, horrible vision. Creed Humphrey isn’t keeping up with Hamilton, so idk why he was worried about that.
