Watching a bjj guy explaining O'goshi is adorable. I'm sure bjj guys feel the same when they see judo guys like myself doing nawaza. Haha. Just playin' I'm sure this guy would still kill me with his eyes closed and one are tied behind his back. Awesome videos.

juanchaclana We do practice those and often, leg sweeps are called ashiwaza and we have chokes from Guard and the back: Hadaka Jime is a RNC in BJJ and kata ha jime. Sankaku jime is a triangle choke.

juanchaclana I train off my back pretty regularly. We have a lot of guys who train BJJ in our club so that may be why we either have to start on the back, Turtle, or Guard. though in Tachiwaza Randori we can't pull guard and I wouldn't want to. I'm training Judo. If you ever happen to be near Fort Worth, Fort Worth Judo is a pretty good place to train!!

James Dreger He's right that it is Uki Goshi, he would have loaded uke onto his hips and shot his hips past uke for it to be Ogoshi

Hmm, looks like you're right when he teaches it the first time, but the last time he specifically mentions dropping low (loading him up) and shoots his hips a little further. That's the one I remembered going through the comments. *shrug*

James Dreger Well Ogoshi and Uke Goshi are so similar it's hard to discern haha. It doesn't really matter, I say Uke when it's a Ogosh and vice Versa haha. How long you been training?

I may be a judo guy, who loves newaza, and I'm glad to see Kurt doing judoish type stuff but damn, this ogoshi is aweful haha.

also want to mention, I support freestyle judo, no the crappy ijf ruleset.. so, before anyone gets upity, I prefer no GI, and actually enjoy Naga no GI ruleset the most. but freestyle judo is closest to what I like...
